No I do not want MV to cry; what sort of monster do you take me for?  I am not a prophet and haven't the slightest idea what will happen.

Now it is true that I am frequently clowning but I am a gentleman of the old school and when I invoke my honor I mean business. Those were the most sincere series of wishes, based on genuine appreciation and admiration, I have ever stated on here and it is telling that, of everything I have asked you guys to swallow, the idea that I might be so supremely unbothered by the outcome but want to share the experience with the bellgab friends I have gotten to know, who do seem to care a lot about it, is the one that sticks in your craw.

Of course I am just like most people, about half of whom won't bother to vote thanks to a cheerful, if somewhat distant, faith in the system, while you who gnash and rage and doom are more of a subset, an interesting one.  It is like being with the patriots at Valley Forge but as a tourist, with all the comforts of a warm bus and brunch reservations waiting.

Hi. I am Jackstar. It may seem redundant to mention that, but these days, I have come to rely less on the little nametags displayed to the left. They are hardly a secure medium to transmit identification protocols. Further, I have come to realize that many of you do not identify with your online handles in the way that I do. To some of you, in fact--you do not identify with them at all.

This is not my experience. My name is Jack. I am a star--although one unlike any you may well have ever heard of. Don't worry about it. There's nothing to figure out. Whatever I am, I am that--and as I have wrenched the loom of Life's tapestry well around from whatever the intent of its formation was, a few months ago, there surely can be no other like me, anywhere. Before, I was like many of you, and then I became more like a select few of you, and now--well, I'm too far gone out there to describe reliably. A description is hardly necessary here, and this brief introduction will suffice for what I am now about to announce: I AM ON STRIKE, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, UNTIL DAVID RUBINI IS ONCE AGAIN ALLOWED TO FREELY USE THIS FORUM.

I don't care that he has disrupted the place in the past. Who amongst has not? Y'all are just jelly. This guy is a fucking HERO. I know that very few of you see it that way. I know that, likely very many of you, see this as a grand victory--sure, ban yourself Jackstar, and good riddance--but that has nothing to do with my decision. Nor does the lifestyle shifts that I have made over the last 24 hours--I have stuff to do IRL anyway, and refreshing BallGrab is simply not a viable strategy towards most forms of progress in real life.

And, it is possible that my opinion about David Rubini is invalid. I see him and name him as a shining, brilliant, creatively energetic force. Others have as well, yet--it would seem that SOME PEOPLE here do not agree. Well, fine. However, I can no longer tolerate the discrimination being shown at this forum. If this place is not a place where a person like David Rubini can post freely, well then... I no longer have any interest in being here regularly. Or in fact--AT ALL.

It just does not seem fair. It may well be fair--what do I know?--but the perception of the situation, openly, is that someone wishes to post here, and is not allowed. Well, I cannot be a party to that kind of thing. I have been silenced and restricted FAR TOO MANY TIMES, both here, and elsewhere throughout all of my life's travels, and I know all too well how it feels to be cut out of the energetic loop.

Even if it is all a joke, and it is spectacularly funny--hilarious, even!--I simply cannot tacitly support the practice of totalitarian censorship.

Not knowing all the intricacies behind The Rubini Event, I cannot say that I am on the side of righteousness here. It could be that the "banning" was a good idea... or did he just do it to himself in order to get likes? I wonder, I often do. Yet no matter the substance behind the smoke and mirrors, there's still someone out there who wishes to post here, and they cannot, or they claim they cannot. This, I cannot endure for even one moment longer. There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part.

For me, that time is Now. Orders from Nowhere: I'm OUT.

Now, as for the remaining lot of you: I will of course miss you all quite dearly, and will surely be keeping up to read about the new Fallout ARG. Meanwile: be nice to my girlfriend. She means well, even moreso than I. I told her that I thought we should go on strike, and that regardless of her thoughts, I was going to do so. And so I have. And yet, I will be watching, and if I see any signs of shenanigans, I will start buying her lots of fancy, master-crafted cutlery off of Amazon Prime. In terms of gift practicality, this has shoes beat hands down.

I will likely be back sooner than I imagine, but not before I see pages and pages of DAVID RUBINI spread across this website from Hell to breakfast. A FUCKING HERO, AMONGST US.
