Anybody want to host a GabCast with me Saturday night?

I'd like to but I have a conflict. Perhaps next time.

It would have been fabulous.

Yes, wouldn't want to upset your parole officer.

Odds are at 0300GMT 03OCT2019. (Possibly 0400GMT)

That's 10pm Eastern-7pm Pacific . (Possibly 11pm Eastern-8pm Pacific) for us 'muricans.

Farmer's Almanack predicts Daylight Savings Thyme will have no effect on the broadcast.

----

As a cheap nod to our Canadian listeners, I have acquired the CostCo store brand of Canadian Whiskey (1.75L) and a few 2L of Royal Crown Cola for some fake Crown & Cokes to enjoy during the broadcast (assuming I can make it home in thyme from my brother's 50th birfday bonfire the same evening).

ObL!, while shopping for my adult beverage of choice for the evening I noticed a 1.75L of store brand of "Silver Tequila" for a very reasonable price...  My personal jeweler (not the internet one that made our #BIFF necklace medallions) likes Evan Williams bourbon whiskey, but told me that he finds the CostCo store brand of Bourbon to be quite acceptable.

I wonder what the status of the IRC live chatroom is?  I miss those...

I guess he’s implying that you’re stalking Heather, if you buy into the whole She was Art’s mistress angle, that is.

Less than an hour till the next Gabcast.

Well then.  That's an interesting take on things.

Non-sequitur but, maybe sorta. Kill some time with this. Gabcast and Bellgab one of the few places now where free speech and humor, satire, and potentially offensive content (non-porn, non-dox, etc) is appreciated, or at least  allowed. We used to have shows that were funny. Not much any more. Though I hear Dave Chappel is now "woke" about free speech.  Most stuff now can't be funny because everything is a potential "trigger" or "offense." In many countries, including our neighbors in the Great White North, even criminally so!  Not understanding that is how comedy/satire works? In addition to civil discourse and political debate (or even just being warned of potential dangers.)

What you've said here, it's exactly what entered my mind the other day when I saw they're coming out with a new Coming to America movie.  2019 SJW sensibilities are going to absolutely ruin it.

You also allow my apparent personal crusade about illegal alien and open border crime thread. Even if nobody sees, views,  or watches it. Haha. Praise Lee MV.I was unaware of a "Coming to America" remake. Wow. Will likely be awful.

I had a cousin, a cousin!, who recently told me that "Dukes of Hazzard" was "problematic" and so was "Smokey and the Bandit!" Pussy, I called him. He still likes them and said showed son but was "worried" about it. "Problematic?" That is now the level of crap these days.

What was the tune before this one (Duran Duran)?

Hungry Like the Wolf, Duran Duran, yep.  Although that was a remix done on a Solton Ketron Programmer 24 from 1985.  Amazing machine.

I'm still waiting for a "Video Killed the Radio Star" version about a website and a certain radio star.  ;)
