Seriously, MV, you pushed Art as far as you thought you could, but the result was not historic. For this to be an interview for the ages, you would have needed to prompt him to say something not on the script he was following. Or it would have needed to come out some other way. But that didn't happen.

Everything is status quo. In other respects also, that is not a good outcome. But you were your usual charming self. That part was good to hear.

Negative. All is as it was. It was truly a non-event in regard to changing minds, I'd say.

It didn't really change my mind about anything, but after hearing some of Art's thoughts in his own voice as opposed to snippets of text, it resonated more with me.  So net result is I do feel more sympathetic to his situation now, and I'm not as irked as I was a few weeks ago.

Also, let's face it, did Barbara Wawa have all those big reveal moments in interviews because she just happened to press the right button? No, most of the time they were pre-arranged and any surprise was largely acting.

BTW, guests drop bombshells occasionally, but chances are that Art would have warned you that something was coming. He's too much a pro not to have done that. No warning? He's gonna stick to the script.
