Where did you hear about Dark Matter?

I heard about it on an advert on XM, likely on SiriusXM FC (soccer channel).  I did a triple take and had to ask my wife if I heard what I just thought I did.  I immediately added internet to my account.

Why, after getting so messed up listening to noory one night,I asked myself if the snore could possibly be as bad as I actually thought he was. I was looking for some solace. Thats when i googled "George Noory is really terrible". It led me to the George Noory sucks thread and I felt a tremendous releaf at having found it.
I found out on that same thread that Art was returning.

I heard about it on the "People who Love Art Bell" FB group. I think it was "People who Miss Art Bell" at the time though. They changed it when the XM gig came up.

I had heard about the old art bell newsgroup when I was on usenet, wasn't interested.  Many years later had my own experiences with seriously delusional people IRL and elsewhere, and also had the tech to find and download old art bell mp3s.  Then found the shoutcast stream.   Didn't care at all about UFOs which everyone seemed to love; it was just good story telling.  Classic stories like Mel's hole, Lazar, Adair, Lear, the alien in the freezer: did people really think this stuff was for real?  The very idea that they could fascinated me.  Also the stories were just so good.  Between good story telling on the radio (move over PBS!) and happily oblivious transgressions of the boundaries of what seems to be versus what actually is real, Art Bell's Dark Matter is a dream come true.

I saw Art's comeback on Fortean Times or Ghost Theory or some other such site.  Internet listening is ideal for me.  I may even end up paying the 16 dollar per month Sirius subscription fee, if I can find at least one other program that can justify the outlay.

I found out here, in a three or four year long thread that started with Art's cryptic ham-cam message that marked his departure from Coast. That thread was ridiculous. I think it's merged now.

When I bought my Wrangler, it had a SiriusXM radio in it w/ 12mo free. About two months before the subscription was up, I did some looking for price deals. That is when I came across the rumor that Art Bell would be on SiriusXM. So I let my subscription lapse. Then got a massive discount about 2wks before Art's new show aired. Worked out well!
