I've actually never had shrimps on the barbie and we don't call them shrimps anyway. I hate fosters and no self respecting Aussie would ever drink it.

DAMNIT AMERICAN TELEVISION! They teach us lies!

I had a friend (he's a roadie and drum tech for guys like Eddie Money and Y&T, Stevie Wonder, ect,) He's been to Australia a few times I guess. Well he had this story he would tell about going to this bar while he was in Australia. From what I remember, this is the story: he walks into this bar with the guitarist from the band, and they find the first two stools at the bar and sit down. They ask the bartender for a drink, and he says "Yeah, but you'd better find a new seat, cause in about five minutes a kangaroo is going to hop in here and he's going to kick your ass if he sees you in his chair."

The two guys looked at each other for a minute, and thought "this guy is obviously fucking with us, but let's just find another seat and play along."

So they sit down across the bar, and start drinking. Sure enough, about five minutes later, a big assed stinking kangaroo hops into the bar, flies buzzing all around it, and this kangaroo hops up to the bar, the bartender poors some beer into a pitcher, the kangaroo downs it, and he hops back out of the bar and down the road.

The regulars didn't bat an eye at this, and the two guys visiting had their minds blown. I kept pestering the guy for details about the story, and he told me that the bartender said that there was a sort of homeless guy who worked odd jobs around town and was known for this kangaroo who was like a pet to him. Every day the man and the kangaroo would come to the bar at the same time and the man would buy a little extra beer for the kangaroo. Well homeless man finally died, and the kangaroo kept coming back to the bar at the same time every day. And if you are in his chair, he kicks the shit out of you. This ended up being a song on a record, can't remember the band, some song about a "big red kangaroo"

Damn Guild, I kept waiting for the punchline.

Thought the kangaroo was going to sniff American ass on his stool and buy the dudes a Foster before whumping them a good one. In my world he did.

Comparing 2X to baby t brakes is a major bit if a stretch, no pun intended.just wanted to know if I'm chatting with a bunch of way overweight people who need a kick in the ass and should perhaps consider diet and exercise before sitting down to be on the internet for hours.

This isn't sarcastic.  It's cold, hard in your face fact.  Care about yourself starting NOW!

I went to the site. I didn't see the claim. The site looks a bit fancy. But I doubt it will be much of a forum for Art... who knows?

Okay.  Well wonder what the cockiness is all about.  No shout outs I suppose.

Looks like Roy Hinkley started it.

I was really wanting a hoodie or sweatshirt too! Cafepress will print on some American Apparel pieces, so I usually order those because the quality is so consistent and I love the modern fit (no Hanes Beefy T situation). AA makes some good sweatshirts and long-sleeved tops I'd love to have printed! I ended up getting the mens' slim fit tee. It shipped today and I'll report back about the quality!

With Art's huge network, I'm shocked that he doesn't have a better graphic designer. Then again, I think it's understood that the 90s typefaces and colors are part of the brand at this point.

Hell, it must be hard to find a graphic designer.
O'buma just spent $ 93 million ( !!!!! ) to design the O'bumacare website that experts say won't work for months.
Shoulda hired Keith Rowland for a lot less, thus saving the taxpayer & the gummint big bucks.

Well 6'2" certainly explains that!  Warrior Princess, I bow.  It sounds like they may run too big and not shrink at all.  It can be a cozy nightgown : )). But NO BRA allowed!  lol

I'm busy right now because I have to go feed my cats and need to do it while its still light because the damned raccoons show up and start eating their food.

I found the mention by accident but its clearly on the site at the beginning of the Dark Matters discussion forum. Either that or they have their own discussion forum somewhere.

It takes me about 5 minutes to feed and water the cats and then I have to ward off the hordes of zombies ... err, raccoons.

When I come back I'll look at my history and see exactly where I found it.
By the by, is there any way to print out a list of the history where I go to and a list of bookmarks on my Imac ?
It would be really helpful rather than scrolling down all the time.

That O buma is nuts!  As for the "other" forum, this one kicks it's ass in every matter, especially Dark Matter.  What little prick made that post above, anybody get his or hers handle?  Roy Hinkley should know who it was.

What on earth is your heritage, giants? lol
Super runway models!  Anyway, I find arts parts ridiculously and insultingly over priced.   I also can't see why I'd give Sirius one cent which should be any day now when I can hear the show on YouTube!  I'm always behind anyway and like having some it to listen to when he's not on.  No.  I am not cheap.  I don't like their fees.

One of those ?
What in the hell is that supposed to mean ?
You act as if I'm a loathsome disease or vermin to be stamped out, as so many do.
Conservatives and fundamental religionists are the only people in this country where its fair game to denigrate.
You wouldn't do that ( presumably ) about someone over their race or gender or sexual status, but say on Conservative thing or opinion and bells light up and alarms go off.
The new racism isn't about race. It's about name calling and casting aspersions on one's character because that person, persons or groups disagree with the party in power, Congress or the occupant of the White House.
Before I became sick 3 times with my sinus infections, I paid off my credit cards.
If I can do it on a limited income, why can't our government ?
And that's something that every American should be asking, not just Conservatives.
After all, they keep raising taxes to pay for stuff even pork barrel projects.
I've never understood the disdain and outright hatred of people for the Tea Party ( founding member at the first Tea Party rally ) and wanting fiscal responsibility and a balanced Federal and state budgets.
You don't expect the credit card company or bank to allow you to go over your credit limit in perpetuity or be perpetually overdrawn , so why do people expect the Federal government to work with deficits and deficit financing in perpetuity ?
When the GOP, the Conservatives & Tea Party members say its time to stop this and cut spending, they're called haters and worse instead of being considered people who care about the fiscal future of America and how it affects its people.

Im not going to get political here , its not worth it .
All i know is the time to debate our budget isnt when the bill for what we've already spent is due .

I found yet another reference that bugs me.
I haven't found the one relating to the official DM discussion forum that I saw last night. I have to wade through hundreds of site listings which is why I want to print it out.
WE were listening to Art and discussing Art when these guys were still one celled animals waiting to divide in their Mother's womb.
Usurpers all feeding off the glorious commentary that they could find here instead of a Bellgab wannabe site.

And a side comment to the guy from Down Under ( is there any UP down under ? ).

There are large medium and small shrimp as well as sizes of prawns so technically shrimp is correct.
And what kind of maniacs set fires anyway ?
They burn down property, destroy life of people and animals and people's treasures and cost state, county and Federal governments ( and territories or whatever they call it down under ) millions and seldom get caught.
Were it up to me you chop their damned hands off or their heads when they get caught and convicted. Just like what should be done to child molesters or rapists. I have NO sympathy for sociopathic criminals.

Hello ?

>:( >:( >:( >:(

As Sherlock Holmes once said :

NEVER ASSUME.

I drink enough water to float a battleship every day and wind up running to the bathroom in part, because I take high blood pressure pills which make me run to the bathroom when I drink water, particularly when it's 90-100 in here even as late as 4 am.

Some of us can't diet due to lack of money or because we're physically injured or because diabetes, glandular problems or other reasons cause us to gain weight.
Before I got sick and was bedridden for 2 years, I used to walk 3 miles a day to and from work when it wasn't pouring rain.
I fell and fractured my kneecap and walked with crutches for a year and couldn't walk long distances without excruciating pain.
I weighed 260 back then, was on Weight Watchers and was working to get back to 220 and eventually 185.
I ballooned up to 345 and then 375 when I got sick and couldn't go out because I was continually coughing up stuff because my lungs were infected as well as my sinuses.
Even after I had surgery I still coughed up stuff periodically but now at least I can walk again although my knee fills up with fluid and all I get from doctors ( except for the one who isn't mine anymore ) is that I'm fat.
Not one doctor has said " lets see what's making the knee swell up and causing him so much pain he can't walk or exercise or stand " in over 10 years.
In April I fell off my bike and had the bike fall on the left side of the leg further injuring it. I took a shower last night and screamed just lifting my leg over the bathtub to go into it.
My gf has had to help me up because I can't put any weight on my knee and things inside of it feel like they're stabbing me and you have NO idea how many strangers ask me if I'm all right when I try to get up from a chair or sit down when I'm in coffee shops, bookstores or go shopping.
There are also days when I can't walk because the pain is so excruciating all I can do is take pain pills or ice the knee down so the swelling subsides. Since the new injury, I feel things moving from left to right on the left side of the knee.
I hate being overweight and had to walk home 8 miles one night with groceries because I missed the last bus from BART.
One reason I'm on here so much at night is because the knee starts throbbing and the pain is so great I can't get to sleep.
Its not out of gluttony or laziness.
Its because of doctors who have tunnel vision or who are so afraid of lawsuits that they do nothing for the patient they should be taking care of.
I used to be an usher at a theatre and saw dozens of people who had surgery on their injured knees but me, I get nothing.
I had one doctor who literally did not examine me nor looked at my chart come in after his colleague moved my leg back, up, down, left and right to where I was screaming from the movements tell me that I was fat and had arthritis as if I was too stupid to know something I knew when I weighed 220 and walked 3 miles each way to college when I lived in Sacramento and one night fell off my bike in the dark ( still can't figure out how it happened with no cars on the street, suddenly I just went flying and lied there thinking " I've fallen and I can't get up ! " ) and had horrible back pain for months until my doctor then said I had arthritis in my spine from that injury.
People look at the person or their pictures and don't even think for a minute that there are reasons other than eating while people are overweight.
Right now while I'm typing this pain is radiating down my leg from my knee along the bone down to my ankle. My right knee is the one that has been injured but I get some of the same symptoms in my left because I favored it in the 3 times I've injured my leg and had to be on crutches.
I haven't walked much lately because we've had so much running around to do with the car and issues with our last car.
In August I was walking home from Safeway 3 miles in 90+ degree heat rather than take the bus ( while listening to podcasts and tracking my steps on my Iphone ) and lost 11 pounds in 2 weeks.
I am going to start that again this week and will do it until it gets too cold to walk or starts raining again. And I also ride my bike although I have to walk it up hills because my knee doesn't have the strength to pedal uphill. Martinez is level in sections but surrounded by steep hills much like San Francisco.
I DO eat salads and vegetables and other healthy stuff but still have periodic cravings for junk food though the longer you go without eating it the more it tastes like crap once you stop. Once the car gets paid off and we put on the catalytic converter my budget for healthier food will be much better. I also go to Sprouts ( full of healthy stuff, organics and great bread, etc )and get their stuff because while costlier it tastes better than the stuff at Safeway, Food Maxx or even Costco.
But it isn't easy when your total income is $ 866.40 a month.
I am working on changing that but despite the exhortations of my Mother for me to go back to work, I probably will never be able to do so. Recently I started wheezing again so my asthma is coming back after a summer of it receding. When it flares up, I can do nothing but cough and sneeze and be miserable.

onan

walk 2 miles a day, don't go nuts, eat whatever you want.
