I agree. I've always had a place in my heart for RCH, but this show was better than I could have ever imagined. This is like the Rolling Stones, The Who and Pink Floyd all got together and threw me a birthday party with strippers in cakes, and midget strippers in cupcakes, and special no hangover vodka that the illuminati make, and I open my gift and it's just a bunch of winning powerball tickets.
Yeah, but did you like it?   ;)

You have no idea what you're talking about. It's very obviously the carburetor out of Darth Vader's Tie Fighter. After Han Solo shot him and he spun of of control, he very obviously crash landed on Mars, where his Tie Fighter broke into 19.5 separate pieces.

Damnit!

Hahaha, that's awesome.  I'm gonna try and lucid dream this tonight.

I'm going to lucid dream Princes leia in the gold getup!

Just turned on Art about 5 minutes ago. I hear the Canadians on the air. Good job Art. Already better than anything on C2C.

This guy from Montreal is a true Art fan. Went out and got his antenna out because the Sirius repeater was down.
My respect to you, Mr. Montreal.

Espresso roast ok?  Wild horses couldn't tear me away.
Prefer the light roast. But then again, loves me some coca leaves the best!

Can we test Canadian citizenship/heritage by taste?

midnight

I want me one of those tasty Canadians!

Would like to listen again, but I don't think even coffee could keep my eyes open now.
Good night everyone.  Thanks for a great evening!

I've got a big mug of tea and a few shots of Niquil.

Goddamn colds.

Hope your combo does the trick and that you feel MUCH better after sleep.

Don't know. Unfortunately, I have never tasted a Canadian. :(

Maybe were all just in a good mood tonight  however....

Does anyone else feel a sort of pre 9/11 hope again. It's like all that 90's magic is back :)

YES, been feeling like this all week. I guess I never realized how much of a part of my life Art's show was back then and how much he has stuck with me over the years and influenced my world view. Seems we might be a whole generation of Art's Kids here lol.

Yes, less buzzy than chewing the cud but FAR superior to a daily coffe fix IMO.  Way better for one's energy levels and attitudes. Not vaso-constrictive for me. The dude's fave. Damn can't wait to get back home.

That sounds so good. I'm wired and awake. Just reading 'espresso' conjures mmm...I should pull an all-nighter. Have a painting to work on for a client and write a film review. Listening to Art again is bringing back memories of these nights of creative thrills and burning midnight oil.

Make sure you wear your Novadreamer Lucid Dreaming Device!

I bet the only thing that device induces is epilepsy.  So your description will have to suffice although I might make a "modification" or two.  Heh.

That was hilarious - Part 2 is even better.  :D

Those two videos had be rolling on the floor.  I was already elated from the wildly entertaining Dark Matter and then that..  My stomach is going to be sore from laughing.

I really think Art has his groove back. He didn't have much rust to shake off, but tonight's program was nearly indistinguishable from Art in his prime. Let's hope this time he stays for more than just a cup of coffee.

Thoughts?

steve0suprem0

Dude, this IS his prime. This show alone makes Sirius worth it..

I'm sold on paying for this. It's better and cheaper than TV.

Well, first off, I'm so excited about this, I know I overpost... but, we're talking Art Bell.  Seriously one of my favorite dudes of all time.  Like, right up there with Ozzy imo.

Now, if there's anything I learned from that darned NDE, it's that now is all that matters.  (Yeah, I grew up raised by hippies & biker types; my soul never really left the 90's.  White light, pink bubbles, crystals, tarot, totem animals... all that shit.)

So, I'm looking at this in the same way I would a found stash of magic 'shrooms.  Enjoy the ride for all it's worth while it lasts.  I don't want to think about how long Art will stay on the air.  He's here now.  And he's kicking ass.  It's great.

Rewound the show and listening now..did George really text Richard while he was on the air?

I can just see George sitting in his chair at coast-

George-" How dare he abandon the Mothership. He is nothing without me, I made him what he is, he is going to come groveling back to me!"
Tommy- " Uuuuhhhh george, he just called you a mush brained simpleton, I don't think he will be comeing back"
George-"....."
" sound of laptop being thrown against the wall"
