Art Blasting Jay Thomas with class.

I Finally had the chance to listen to Art's debute return, I (a few day's a week) hear the Jay Thomas show. Jay from time to time praises Noory in his own way. However, the news of Art, had lil Jay on a mocking tear for about 15 minutes. Then as Art mentioned all the call's to Jay's show were indeed about aliens etc. He even made the statement "I see the phone lines are lit up with people wanting to talk about UFO's".

I have read the Art Of Talk four times, if you recall Art noticed one night when he brought up the topic "the phone lines lit up like a Christmas tree"..

I heard a few minutes of his show. I've heard and seen things that would turn a prude's jet black hair snow white, but I was shocked by a guest comedian's "joke". It dealt with a horrid crime that I won't mention. The guest said that he had the characteristics of a serial murderer too, but that was not the most offensive bit of his appearance. Carlin and Pryor didn't cuss just because they could. The rough parts of their routines made sense in the contexts of them. Some comedians now try to offend just for the sake of it. It's the end, not the means, and it's usually not justified.

Since Jay told us how he would get ahead in life and certainly at work if he had a vagina, and since that snippet that played on Art's show had zero humor or cleverness yet must be one of his better bits if that's what they chose to promote his show, are we to assume he services his male bosses to get and keep his job?

Just asking.  Occam's Razor and all that.

Only listened for a minute, but Jay said... " We have people talking about UFOs all the time"... right, sure you do.
