I thought Nigel's future was in British Steel. But if young Nigel says he's happy, he must be happy. Happy in his work. We only want what's best for him.

Ha, you beat me to it.

The current show on 104, something called "The Covino and Rich Show" sure sucks.  It makes "Wayne's World" sound like a PBS production.

Nigel: I hope that I have answered all of your questions. Thank you for contacting SiriusXM and have a nice day.
Nigel has disconnected.

Sounds like a more intelligent version of the dialogue on a typical Dave Noorie show.

Now this is stuck in my head.

XTC-Making Plans For Nigel #258.

Yes! I visualized Nigel looking like a stringy dude, dark hair, sporting a shiny blue suit and skinny tie.

Disheartened

I listening via internet only on my computer right now to the INDIE Channel. I look up upcoming shows and Art Bell's Dark Matter is listed.

When I first subscribed early last month I called then first to make sure I could be able to hear Art's show on XM Canada. After waiting a minute of two the customer service rep. said, "I think so." I think so is not exactly a reassuring answer.

I have no doubt that of 10:00pm tonight I will be hearing Art Bell.

PrairieGhost

I just heard the commercial for the show on indie channel and it said you can listen on your internet app.

I have the free trial.  Forgot when it expires.  To get channel 104-- on their player, go to "Shows on&on demand."  Scroll down to ch, 104 and click the arrow to play.

Now, it's playing Christian MIngle.  In a few minutes will know if ==Art== can be heard here.

Well, for what it's worth, SiriusXM  will NOT be broadcasting Art's show via the internet, as I was just informed by "Customer Service."  They told me one cannot listen to that show online, streaming, or on smart devices, only via one of their radios with a premium service contract.

like most of their customer service reps, that information is totally FALSE.
Art's show was broadcast last night on the internet on Sirius channel 104 just fine.

Ha, you beat me to it.

I'm going to guess this is due to living in the United States, but in all my years I've never met a Nigel. But,XTC and Christopher Guest have permanently placed the name in my head...

DarkBroodings

I am listening to the on-demand replay of last night's show right now on my computer at work.

yep the on-demand archived show appeared a couple hours after the end of the live show.
I like it better than live since all the ad breaks have been removed and its easier to move around the timeline with the on-demand show.

Its bad res but a screen cap of the "customer service chat"

**M**

This rep, like many reps and people is just not a great communicator. I suspect what they meant is that if you ONLY have the Sirius Select Package that Internet Listening is not an option. That you would have to have the internet listening feature activated to listen to Art Bell online.

Figured I'd chime in. A lot of the reps at SiriusXM cause more harm than help, but I think that's true of many outsourced customer service. I've heard hundreds of stories about their customer service at my business.
