Call it a learning experience. You saw his true colors by hearing his own words. That's why unpopular views should not be illegal or verboten. The taboo gives them more power. Then, its adherents will point to the speech code as proof that they're right. "They have something to hide because they know we're right." It's best to debate and discuss things in an honest and open manner. That kind of conversation deflates revisionist balloons, and a "taboo truth" becomes a sick falsehood. I went on the same kind of journey with the SPLC. I thought that they were dedicated to fighting violent hate groups like skinheads, people who hurt other people. I learned that they were a leftist propaganda group who got rich from manufactured "hate". Dees and Potok are right up there with Bakker and Swaggart.
