As you seem adept at posting unsolicited alleged photos of forum members HAL, what about one of yourself? Or do you only indulge in harrassment when you're not the victim? Answers on a postage stamp.

I'm sure you wouldn't like the audience to know you went to the trouble of finding out where Lilly lived and worked, or how you trawled the net to find any facet of information about her, would you? No...best not..Some of the more unenlightened and sanctimonious might treat that as (dare I say it?-yes I dare)..stalking...

Yours threats to bait me into vitriolic response has fallen on deaf ears. Your tactic may work on some, but not I. I will, however, address briefly your ad hominem attacks.

You apparently missed the shit-storm conjured by a now former member here. It was vile, and caused quite a stir, to the extent she was banned (~February 9, 2012). She was, in fact, originally "outed" by another member here, as to location and occupation. Maybe you missed that.

However, this banned member has manufactured a number of different aliases, all of which have been subsequently banned with the exception of one to this very day. Now, if you would like to be an apologist for this person, be our guest. My intuition is you be in the minority, as again, she and her aliases were banned. The photo you mention is not alleged, it is factual. Be that as it may, Lilly and her virtual progeny were disruptive. A few keystrokes revealed that "Lily" (not her real name) is indeed troubled, and troubling.

I look for C2C frauds (degrees, tax-free foundation scams), and  have exposed only a couple of highly disruptive trolls/troublemakers. I care about no one else, so your ad hominem hostility is misdirected and misguided. I'll not address your other ludicrous comments. I will, however, reluctantly allow my inner-child to note one last observation: The second portion of your screen-name suits you well - a pompous pud.

Oh I wasn't saying you were the originator; but you did decide to add to the fire. And yes, I know she was banned..but that's what happens when several bleat to the admin/owner (I too have been a moderator and administrator at other forums, so I know how it works)

Here's a top tip...use the useful ignore feature; I know why you don't, you can't help the overwhelming feeling of importance of self importance in e mailing admin and mentioning it.

In effect, this is your contribution to the issue.  The "Lillys" of forum disruption simply need to have their behavior measured against the TOS.  Nothing less, nothing more.  Nothing to get upset about.  In the event the TOS does not properly treat an apparent infraction in your mind (e.g., HAL's posts), then please submit a new category or extension of existing potential infractions to the group.  I'd like to read your proposals.

I find myself posting here at Coastgab less and less as more and more trouble-making assholes join in.  It's a shame.  I believe that there are multiple users here with multiple accounts and their only desire is to stir up fights and to cause trouble.  Trolls, in other words. 

So I don't post as much, lest I become one of them.

i'm tired of people publicly complaining that a user is actually someone else.  it's usually a guess on your part at best, so keep it to yourself if that's what you think.  if you think someone has created a second account you can report it privately to me and explain why you think that, but to do anything beyond that is just shit.


i'm tired of people publicly complaining that a user is actually of the opposite sex vs. how they portray themselves.  again... that's usually a guess on your part at best, so keep it to yourself if that's what you think.  it is not a violation of the terms of service to act as a woman when you're a man.  however, it is a violation of the terms of service to publicly suggest such a thing about another user.  it's not your business, it's not my business, and it's not the forum's business.


you people who keep outing others for this or that, revealing private information about others, etc... you are as damaging to discourse around here as any troll.  and hal... i have to say, using a photo of another user in your avatar?  that's real cute and all, but in what universe would you think that's allowed on this forum?  you're helping nothing by doing that, and you're violating the terms of service.


so, it comes down to this:  if you think a user has created multiple accounts or is otherwise misrepresenting who they are... keep it to yourself unless you want to discuss it privately with me.  beyond that, it has no place on the forum. 


i hate to be the bad guy, but from now on, revealing personal information about another user is a permanent ban.  it doesn't matter who you are, how long you've been here, or how many posts you have.  this shit is insufferable.  so, if you enjoy using this forum, think before you post.
