Robert O. Young Is a Duck Noise ...

I've been listening to the Feb. 5, 2013, broadcast with "Doctor" Robert O. Young, "M.S., D.Sc., Ph.D."  It is honestly distressing that people like him get any airtime, let alone airtime with someone as unchallenging and credulous as Noory.  Blood makes skin?  Blood is an organ?  The stomach doesn't secrete acid?  Eat 12-14 grams of salt per day?  What's even worse is that I know people out there will listen to this guy and believe it.

Fortunately, a quick Google search turns up a few pieces exposing this particular duck noise:  "A Critical Look at "Dr." Robert Young's  Theories and Credentials" @ Quackwatch and "Naturopathic technique stirring bad blood" @ Confessions of a Quackbuster.  This on top of his response to lawsuits by claiming he never said he was a doctor.  Hard to do that when you bill yourself as having three degrees, two of them being doctoral degrees.

I agree 100%. Noory introduced him as "one of the top research scientists in the world," too. I now realize that it's a direct quote from the quack's own website. Have Noory, Lyon, and Danheiser absolutely no judgment at all?

And don't forget that 'neuropathy is a circulation problem'. I was going to add this assclown to the 'Quack' thread, but he isn't even an MD. Any of these idiots who claim that all disease is caused by a particular condition (acidic Ph, in this case) should raise a red flag. C2C should be ashamed for having people like this on. A little due diligence, please.

Yeah, I forgot about that general claim (same to what he said about "all cancer").  I was more worked up on the individual ones when I posted.

I think he said to never consume vinegar.  Well...there goes my salad dressings!

Indeed, he did.  In response to Noory saying that another of their quacks guests says to take like 1 Tbsp of apple cider vinegar a day.

Finished listening to the show.  I really hope someone sues him for everything he has and that he goes to jail for a very long time.

Among other things, besides dispensing medical advice without a license, he claimed that water molecules "clump" together, antibodies just remove acid, sugar is acidic (sugar is chemically incapable of altering the amount of protons or hydroxide ions in a solution so it has "no" pH), the body does not get energy from sugar, and that bacteria is the result of cellular breakdown.  Oh, and HIV is an antibody.
