I'd say infowars since I listen to Alex Jones every week. 8)

I liked mysterious universe. I might resubscribe. Not to take money away from them, but you can join, download their archives and be done with it for paying for one month. It has been over a year so I will try to rehash what I remember. I'll keep this brief.

It is not a call-in show. This can be good or bad. I find most hosts cannot handle callers and it gets awkward and/or the host gets in the habit of blaming the callers for being bad. Well, we have seen Art Bell turn some real zingers into winners so bad caller hours irritates me. Either way, they don't do that so it is avoided.

Their bonus stuff is nice on the + account but only if you are a fan. It is a mix/match of interesting topics. The hosts do their research and tackle most topics with intelligence. The format is one real believer and one skeptic (although the skeptic doesn't blast everything out of the water). Being a skeptic I like his point of view and the questions he tries to answer. The best way to turn a skeptic into a believer is to subtly attack the subject with questions that need to be answered.

This show is built around amateurs doing research for the show. They aren't quite "there" yet as radio hosts but their passion is there. It is probably the pinnacle of podcasting in the world of abnormal topics/news.

In a world of variety, everything is an acquired taste anymore. Give them a handful of shows before making and judgments.

Frankly, I don't see a true replacement to Coast 2 Coast from 1 source. I say, listen to as many different sources as you can, WHEN you want to. Don't force anything down your throat and give everything more than a brief listen.

+1 for Clyde Lewis & Ground Zero.. There is no replacement for Art, he loved what he did and it showed. Clyde is similar enough though, Im hoping he gets better as his show is syndicated. It would be even better if he could get the podcasts of the show up faster than one or two a week since I cant listen live.

I can do without the 9/11 conspiracy though.. nothing makes me want skip a broadcast faster than that.

Every timer I happen to hear or read yet another screed about this so-called conspiracy (which of necessity would have involved thousands of people, each one of whom must remain absolutely silent forever), I feel a little piece of my soul being torn away and ground into dust.

I've become a believer in the 9/11 conspiracies. I just can't believe the Govt story concerning 9/11 anymore

I just believe the Govt lied. I believe in the New World Order and it's not a good thing

You probably would dig the Ground Zero shows even more then! I was driving around the Pentagon when the plane hit, saw it fairly clearly, when "Loose Change" came out they posited that it was a missile.. No matter how hard I tried to explain to people that it completely untrue, no one listened .. People want to believe what they want to believe.

Similarly I tried to explain to two friends that Jewish people did die in the World Trade Center, and they said "Why didnt the news REPORT that" (This is two people on two separate occasions mind you) and my response was "Why WOULD the news report that Jews died in 9/11? Do we need a Jewish person death count in every major event? Im Italian, do I need a the amount of Italian Americans lost in every disaster or terrorist attack?

9/11 is just my sore spot, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and everyone has some angle on it. I just don't listen to the shows on that topic.

Ah yes, beliefs. I remember those. Had to give it up though, bad for the heart.

The Kevin Smith Show. Live Mon-Fri starting at 9 central.

Been listening for the first time for a total of about ten minutes, yet based on just that it's obviously a much better show than Noory's Coast.

I sit in silence and pretend something good is on. The voices in my head are better contributors than Noory's collection of half wit guests and witless callers.

agreed. i do a dubstep mix with my brain of the sounds generated by my tinnitus. none of the so called C2C alternatives appeal to me.

I really need to find a show with someone I can respect that doesn't trigger the @#%$ out of me.
Can anyone recommend something ELSE?
;)

Morgus

The only broadcast radio show with similar topics and guests is Clyde Lewis' Ground Zero, carried by many of the same networks stations as c2c, airing for a couple hours before it.

CrabbyOld Bat

Clyde Lewis tries too hard to be controversial. He presents guests and topics that are somewhat similar to those on C2C then makes comments clearly meant only to get a reaction rather than start a valid discussion -- sort of a late night "shock jock" angle to hook listeners. Unfortunately that kind of "entertainment" has been done to death so it's predictable and boring. If he's in one of his more confrontational moods, he'll insult and argue with callers who disagree with him. But again, because he so obviously overdoes things, the show frequently turns into an annoying bad joke, void of any legit, thought-provoking discussion.

If Lewis would stop trying so darn hard to be shocking and controversial, he might actually be a pretty good choice to replace Snorge. He doesn't book really silly guests like the Numbers Lady, he actually pays attention to what his guests and callers say, and he does have some interviewing skills. He'd be much better if he'd opt to do legit discussions, IMO.

ItsOver

Pretty good summary of Clyde, COB.  Even still, as long as Clyde isn't going-off on some long rant, I'd still much rather listen to him than Nitwit Noory.

Google Jerry Pippin. He's good for some laughs and gaffes. Not a bad show.

Morgus

Clyde Lewis did have a good recent long interview with Andrew Bisagio, the guy who claimed to have been a time traveler as a child.
Noory has done several interviews with him as well, but there was a lot more info and more details with Clyde Lewis.
I find that the network stations however only usually carry an hour or two of his show, while the actual broadcast is 4-5 hours long and only available from his website's podcast archives, but they are free downloads.

IMHO, the only one who even comes close to the original style and format of C2C is Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis. . . but, that is just my opinion.

Rense's site is a horrible minefield of blinking neon .gifs advertising tin foil hat manufacturers, and web design circa 1994. Enough to turn away only the most of hardened of kooks.
You Said it! and whats up with that busted haircut?
