each of those moving stars in the center are actually orbiting a black hole, moving at approximately one million miles per hour.

I always thought or have been lead to think that the black hole in the center of our galaxy could possibly supply the kill shot we hear so much about from the doomers.  This is apparently wrong.

Recent investigations have revealed a gas cloud is headed towards the black hole and is actually just about there. There is a slight glow to the event horizon it was pointed out and this will become more prominent when the cloud is actually being "eaten". As fast as things progress, this ought to occur sometime soon and I mean in our (human) time rather than in astronomically speaking terms (a long, long time in the future).
