i have a ccradio, and the AM reception is probably better than any radio i've ever owned.  they call it a CCRadio, but when you look at it, the name SANGEAN is plastered on the front of it in big letters.  you can't go wrong, EVER, by getting a radio by sangean.  EVER.  remember that.

I saw a radio listed on the CCradio website labeled Tivoli Audio, was at Target & saw the same radio cheaper, so I bought it. The sound is very  good for such a small radio and reception is great. It is not a CC brand unless CC makes it I don't know? Does being influenced to buy it by CC count for me to post on this board?

i landed on the edge of the tub, on my god damned ribs.  there really is no more horrid way to land in such a situation.  thank god for my wife who has made things easier for me in every way she can think to.  i really depend on her so much.

Like EvB said lucky it was not your head or you be paying for a new tub ;D

Sounds like you have a good wife and it is good that you recognize it (always good for brownie points too).

I know just getting the cartilage around them inflamed as I am sure you have done also, there is  intense pain with every breath. If you have a good Dr and want no pain ask for Staydol nasal spray, two snorts and you be good to go bro and I mean "Good to Go" hahhahah. The generic is butorphanol I have to have it for some issues and it is only thing that works for me so far, this is light years beyond shitty Vicodin and that weak ass shit. Plus it's nasal and activation time is about 11 seconds give or take a few, no stomach issues or such because of that also, just be careful if you do get it. I am not proposing indiscriminate drug use (disclaimer) as I think that is a personal issue, if you do it and do not harm others why the fuck should I or anyone care? I know its off topic but this is where it was posted, sorry. I wounder if it they could make a drug so Noory would not suck so much? OH, I think they have it's called get a personality, morals, and education.

ev... i have had such a bad run of luck lately health-wise.  just as my finger was almost healed up completely, i slipped and fell in the shower at a marriott suites hotel i stay in weekly.  i landed on the edge of the tub, on my god damned ribs.  there really is no more horrid way to land in such a situation.  thank god for my wife who has made things easier for me in every way she can think to.  i really depend on her so much.
That's terrible. I'm so sorry. I hope you'll be better soon. I heard Octomom cracked a rib when her belly turned into well you know by now what it turned into...

Dude. This is the Curse of Noory. We've all had a bad luck streak. I have had lots. Yours has probably been the worst. You're also the king of the site. Holy shit.

I'm selling my three issues of After Dark and the Al Bielek interview for $10.00 + postage and handling.  Anyone interested?

Quote from: Max on April 11, 2008, 09:30:21 PM
I would say sell them on ebay if you can...

I recently put the aforementioned After Dark issues and Bielek CD in a barrel and set it on fire.

Pretty colors ensued.

you never made sure MV had a copy of that interview on his stream did you?

No.  I never received that suggestion until now.

haha, no worries.  i've had that interview on the stream for a couple years now.

also, if only you'd taken the time to wipe your ass with that newsletter first.

I have not bought anything directly off of C2C, but I did buy the Trumbull County UFO tapes cd off of amazon.com after I had listened to the show on C2C.  Oh I have bought the quickening, and the coming superstorm as well.

Oh, has anyone bought the art website/pictures/bumpers on cd package?  I notice it is still up for sale, is it a good deal?  Is it worth it?

Quotethe ccradio does have a line input jack so you can pipe in audio from an external source like your mp3 player.

It turns out this puppy will do the trick for what I want.  But, no toys for Mommy until Sonny-boy finds a job - poor thing.  He's a hard worker, but got laid off right after Christmas with 48 hours notice by email.  So, since I now live in a one bedroom apartment, and he has a lease anyway, I'm paying his rent until things improve.

The silver lining is that my son has one of those degrees that, particularly in this economy, lets you say "Do you want fries with that?" with proper diction.  Communications, without a specialty. (He was doing SEO for a local web-marketing firm, but they are on the verge of collapse.)  SO - he has now decided that he'll take whatever job he can find and apply for grad school, or some sort of specialization certification.  Something he REALLY needs to do, all things considered.

IMO - you are better off buying just the songs you want by Amazon downloads.  You can find the (loooong) list HERE - but - MV has link that gives him credit for the sale - so find the song, and use MV's link.  (Where is that now, Michael?)

Are they still hawking that Royal Jelly crap on Coast to Coast? I haven't listened to the show on the radio for years so I get to skip the commercials. I remember thinking it was such a load of bullshit the first time I heard about it, but I decided to do a little research on it and wasn't surprised. I can't remember the links or cite my sources, so sorry about that, but basically royal jelly does absolutely nothing in terms of health for people, and can actually be quite harmful! They found even for people who generally don't get allergies, royal jelly can trigger extreme allergic response. Anaphylactic shock.. even death. It's incredibly irresponsible for George Noory to be touting the alleged health benefits of a product that can be quite dangerous.

I've bought a few books over the years, don't waste your money on Snoorys crap. When he first came out with "Worker In The Light" he got trashed bigtime on Amazon, it was a riot. Then later on someone at Amazon deleted all the bad reviews, the last I looked the bad reviews were coming back in. I tried the Afterdark Newsletter, that was a real waste, all rehashes of crap already coverd on his shows, it's as lame as Snoory is.

I just got two of Tess Gerritsen's books, Gravity and Harvest : almost done Gravity and it's pretty good.  Formulaic and an "easy read", nonetheless it's entertaining suspense.  Hope Harvest is as good.

I sometimes go to that book's page just to read the new negative reviews  :D

I bought John Michael Greer's "The Long Descent" after hearing him interviewed earlier this year. I've been interested in peak oil and the possibility of a post-industrial near future for a while now. Greer's thoughts on the subject are the least apocalyptic and most insightful I've ever read. He's also a quite intelligent and well read man and I enjoyed his prose.

I also bought his "UFO phenomena" book. I haven't read it, yet, but it's actually a debunking book that draws parallels between UFO experiences and Jungian psychology and classic shamanistic experiences. Also, JMG makes George audibly pouty whenever he says "yeah, I really don't believe in space aliens". That was worth the price of two mass market paperbacks.

DarkBroodings

I bought a Secret Luftwaffe Projects of WWII book from Amazon by a guest a few months ago. 10 years ago I almost ALMOST bought a CC radio until I went to the website and saw the outrageous prices.

Admittedly, I have been out of the loop of things for a while now....

(stuck in some Richard Shaver ~underworld~, chasing Deros while piloting my Phantom Corsair with my good friend Rust Heinz who is quite alive and apparently ageless and continues to improve his amazing automobile.)

So understandably, I am not up to what is what here on the surface.

It appears C2C's "After Dark"  has gone the way of  DYNAMITE magazine...

Anyone have details on its well deserved demise?

Only thing that I purchased because of coast 2 coast was the ARTBELL.COM website commemorative CD's.  Just threw my copy in the computer tonight just to bring back some memories and even after all these years, all the audio links to abcd.rowlandnet.com still work.   Can't believe it.  Even the updates that weren't added to the CD still work.  Made a point to copy everything I could down onto a folder and back it up to CD.  Maybe one day when I get lazy, I'll throw everything onto a DVD and modify the HTML pages on the original Artbell.com cd to point not to the online sights but to the copied media in their new local folders.  Maybe.

Not that I have an interest in buying any- but I'm damn curious if anyone bought some of the E-foods direct offerings and what it tasted like.

Some of my recent favorites include Dino-vite which is both tumeric and carnivora for dogs.
Also survivalist coffee-you can use it for barter if the nuclear apocalypse happens.
