Art, why not just do a periodic podcasts that could be played on MITD? Even one that is more "Dreamland-esque" where you go one-on-one in a interview with someone. It could be recorded any time (more family time and no stalker could find out when) and, since done any time, you could get even famous, or infamous, guests. It also could be randomly played and not pre-announced, or announced, and draw listeners to MITD.

People, all of you need to know that if starts something, he'll quit it. Art is a quitter. all of you are in a "dreamland" if you think that art will come back and do a show full time. He'll make up a reason to leave us.

My fellow Gabbers, you guys love the truth right? Ok here it is, not that I expect anybody to believe it.
Everything said about the Stalker was true, every bit of it. Even before the July start of the show I had COPD but it was at a level I could handle and in some ways still is but this is a smoking related disease that gets worse and it has. I am not at Deaths door yet but it has worsened since I left the air. There is nothing I love more than doing my show but it is tougher and tougher to do. The truth is I loved smoking and still miss it. There is nobody to blame other than myself. I may come back and do some fill in shows but five days a Week is not going to happen.

It's funny that smoking and Radio are impossible to seperate. Of course i no longer smoke, just Vape now but even that irritates my Lungs.

My Marriage has been a blessing and despite things said is a damn good one, we have been very happy and will celebrate 10 Years on April 11th, I did not set out to find a younger Woman, we were introduced by my Brother in Law at a time I was in a lot of dispair, it was like a gift from God for me.

It is strange to me that people make things up, but I guess that is a natural thing when they have no or little information but the truth is just that, the truth. One thing I do not do is lie so as unlikely as this chain of events may seem to some it is the simple truth.

You owe us no explanation! You've given us years of entertainment free of charge. If you can do some shows that's great, if not then please just look after yourself and your family. Your personal affairs are none of our business.

If you do come back on the air though I will definitely be tuning in.

I do hope you still manage to get on 80 m from time to time though, or some ham band, and make use of that station.  I wouldn't let the jerks on 80 kill the hobby for you, as much as that passion has meant for you. 17 m is kind of the new refuge from that, and if you get on that band I might be able to reach you from Virginia, lol.

Hautex, security bases have been covered. Another lifelong friend of myself, Art and Bobo, is the legendary Las Vegas drag-queen Miss Formica Dinette. She is putting Art in FULL drag, ( can't reveal, for obvious reasons, Arts gown choice, but Formica says, "Art will look FABULOUS"),  we will change cars twice between the airport and Art's compound. Art will wear a bullet proof brassiere, etc, etc. We've spared no expenses on the security front. We have passwords and a secret handshake. Art, I believe you on what you have said, there is no problem here.  Its just that decent programs of the type you made are hard to find these days.  George Knapp does quality work.  The genre of talk radio is fatigued and suffering.  What worked 20 years ago just doesn't cut it anymore. The same several dozens of guests are going through revolving doors. UFOlogy is a three-ring circus and those behind the curtain are laughing the hardest.

I gave your chosen replacement a chance out of the respect I have for you.  I'm sure there are plenty out there that have had some real journalism and broadcast training that have enough interest in your show's topics that if you gave your blessing - would jump at the chance to do the show. My wish to you is that if you can not return on a regular basis - to name a suitable replacement before truly retiring.

Its been a fun ride...and yes, I am crying off into the sunset as I write this...
