I'm popping in here for just the moment, I've been away for a long time, but I saw Art's post about his smoking ailment and felt I needed to comment since I cannot comment on his facebook page:

Art, if COPD or whatever was always a problem, why didn't you tell us that before now, this constant leaking of one new confession after another comes off disingenuous my good sir. I love you Art, despite your politics and tendency to give credence to some of your huckster guests, but I'm sorry, I just have lost my ability to take you at your words now. I must admit that I have serious doubts, as bad as I feel to say it, that there really is a person shooting at you, and if COPD was always the reason, you should have been honest from the beginning, or kept completely silent.

Now, as far as Ms. Heather doing a "great" job, no, I don't think she's doing a bang up job, sure, she's managing, but she can't even pronounce the deceased head justice of the USA Supreme Court's name properly, and it's been ALL OVER THE NEWS. She also miss pronounced 2 other people's names on top of that. She's ill-informed and shouldn't be reporting news if she is that ill-informed, she has zero credibility with me, why should she have the ear of hundreds of thousands of people all while a poor bum like me has the need to point out to her of her error? If you want to be in the media and speak on events and issues, you better know what you are actually talking about.

Tell Heather his name is pronounced Skahh-LEE-YAhh, not SkAyLya, and tell her to look up the other names also. If she can't take the time to read and follow even the smallest amount of real news, she shouldn't be reporting any of it, real amateur move!

He's also banking on his "baiting the hook" with a possible guest host gig to keep us sending in $5 as well.  If she can keep subscribers because she is good, then great. This seems to be the accurate assessment to me, and I don't like being cruel or vindictive.

I'd be much better than Heather, I even did radio school tests and stuff many years ago and was told that I was good at it, but even so, I believed I wasn't qualified for the air, so why should someone who can't take the time to know current events report the news? I'm sorry, but that is just exactly what IS part of the USA's problem these days, too many ill-informed hucksters have the podium. There are very few real minds in the media any longer. As much as I don't like right wing politics, at least there is John Bachelor who is relatively intelligent, despite his leanings. There aren't enough such people in media, too many lunatics and pea brains like Alex Jones, the great mental midget.

I think if Asia was doing an "anonymous" youtube channel, and gained enough interest on her own, she wouldn't even need Art's followers to subscribe. Wouldn't that be more rewarding, ultimately? (Assuming she cared or appreciated that at this age, which I doubt highly she does).  Same with Heather.  Regardless of the negative opinions (or hell, even the positive ones)- she is host now, whether people like her or not. So she needs to stand on her own merits, not Art's.  He may give advice for a while until she's an "old pro", but she needs to stand 100% on her own two feet to be successful, IMO.

I think if Asia was doing an "anonymous" youtube channel, and gained enough interest on her own, she wouldn't even need Art's followers to subscribe. Wouldn't that be more rewarding, ultimately? (Assuming she cared or appreciated that at this age, which I doubt highly she does).  Same with Heather.  Regardless of the negative opinions (or hell, even the positive ones)- she is host now, whether people like her or not. So she needs to stand on her own merits, not Art's.  He may give advice for a while until she's an "old pro", but she needs to stand 100% on her own two feet to be successful, IMO.
