Every night he left her alone for his studio.  He was probably steadily on the phone with Heather, an alleged phone sex operator, due to the producer position?

She may just have gotten fed up and Art, it is the show or the marriage.  He still has the hots for Heather and that is why he put an alleged past phone sex operator to run MITD.

Maybe that is why she has such a pleasing voice, experience discussing certain topics for hours on the phone.  The longer you keep them on the phone the more money you make.  I am sure you want to keep people as clients, then you have a steady stream of established callers.

Odd, when I was first listening to Art Bell I knew nothing about him.  I didn't know who he was, what he looked liked or where he lived or his history.  Over the course of several years I slowly became familiar with him.

You seem to want to know everything about Heather in the span of a few weeks of broadcasting, on a show where she is the fill-in host.

The show isn't about Heather, it's about the paranormal and the guests that come on.

I get what you're saying, but what irks people about "Heather's" anonymity is that she is trying TOO hard to keep it secret.  You're right, over time the audience does get to know the host, and it should happen organically, but on one call somebody very politely asked, "You're doing great, Heather!  Tell us how you came to know Art and got involved with MITD?" and her response was, "Oh, one time we talked on the phone and the rest is history.  Next caller!" 

At some point (and in light of Art's shifty disappearance and hokey alibi) you get resentful of being lied to.  Like Johnny Rotten once said, "Ever feel like you've been cheated?"

I don't know.  I read somewhere that it was odd that months before her demise she was not on the show and he did not even mention her.  That is a vague recollection on my part, but maybe if someone listens to the shows of that period they'll settle that question. 

Maybe some psychic told Art that Heather is a reincarnation of Ramona.  Yeah, I have some imagination.

Prior to hearing the latest gabcast, I had no opinion of heather personally, but after listening to her and Bateman go back and forth, it was like watching Lebron dunk on a 5 year old. She sounds completely narcissistic and delusional...if she actually believes anything that she is saying. Hearing people call for some sort of truce between heather and Bateman is stupid. This isn't a difference of opinion , this sounds more like heather slandering Bateman and him defending himself as any rational person would do.

My thoughts exactly!  Art stated that his girls were unhappy with his work hours & time he spent for the show. He repeated this a few times, almost from the time the show started in July. First time he said it I knew it was just a matter of time before he bailed. My two cents worth!
