DarkPenguin it wasn't you who Art said posted something libelous. The alleged libelous comment was posted in the Heather Wade thread two nights ago. And in fact, the alleged libelous comment wasn't really libelous at all. It was a poster asking basically, would "this" be libelous? They weren't making a libelous statement. If the poster of the alleged libelous comment wants to come forward he will.

Well, actually thats good to hear because I felt bad for causing MV trouble. I really like MV from back when he ran his tech show and even though he banned me once (which I certainly didnt deserve since I remain blameless-) I never, ever wanted to cause issues for him when he provides this platform for everyone and isnt a censor nazi.

My point still stands though- Regardless, Arts threat at MV is uncalled for. Art, the bastion of the constitution and of free speech. I supported Art pretty hardcore when the heavens gate thing happened and always had the impression he had a libertarian ideal of speech.I was wrong.

I wasn't going to share with anyone this information, but since MV has posted and is talking about it, I figured people would want to know, though it doesn't really matter in the larger context.

So what happened as far as I can tell, during the Heidi Hollis interview I made a comment: "This guest makes me want to go camping with Art and forget my inhaler".  A few posts later SciFiAuthor comments in a general way that people are getting close to saying libelous things and he isn't going to stand for it.  In response, merely as a way to troll and taunt him, I reply back: "Libelous? Like what?  Insert libelous comment here"

Now to be fair to SciFiAuthor he probably had no part in Art reading my comment, or PMing MV.  It is obvious Art uses the listening threads as a "focus group", so I don't have any issue with SciFiAuthor.

I apologized in a PM to MV for having to deal with the situation my comment created and I said I wouldn't say anything potentially libelous again.

That is the only logical thing to do. Lets ban Art Bell so he would not get more "butt hurt". If Art can't protect himself by staying away from Bellgab, Lets protect him by banning him so he can't get more butt hurt.
