Before Art even came back, I said that I'd like to see shows on different topics, not just ones paranormal. The Capt Crunch episode from the 90's was still my favorite show. I liked the deep diver interview a few months back on MitD.

I totally agree with you.  Art can make anything interesting, even a police report.

Do you really think Art exaggerated this situation.Have you ever been shot at?I doubt it.The effects sit in your mind for years.Hav e some insight into others.PTSD or lesser degrees of it are real.I would imagine that with the financial resources Art has,that there would be,HAS to have investigators on the case.I don't think Art is a quitter.But Art has always one to make quick sharp decisions.Like leaving Sirius.Like leaving MITD. I think that there are certainly suspicions as to who, or what person or corporate entity would have been into this concerted effort to INTIMIDATE him.Make no mistake the data DO NOT fit that of a stalker,but of an effort to intimidate. I think by all past behavior Art is an Honest person who has said he is retiring.But  one can come out of retirement.

There is absolutely no evidence that he was shot at. No bullets or bullet holes has ever been found and Art himself have not even seen anyone with a gun. Even the police found this story so far fetched that they are not even investigating it and thought that it could just be the sound of firecrackers.
All we basically know is that during one of these instances there was a car nearby.

I find it funny you say he is not a quitter, when he has done this over and over in the past each with a dramatic story behind it. With all these drama you would think he was cursed if he was not at the very least exaggerating things.
Also strange how many of us saw the signs of him retiring even before these incidents. He acted the exact same way he did before he quit c2c and sirius on the show. He also even brought up how tough it was to do this show 5 days a week and nearly even quit several times over other small issues some even before the show even got on the air. How is this not being a quitter??
If it was that bad as you say, then why the fuck would you not let police investigate the ONLY trail you got which was the phonecall??
Even if he suspects who it is, there is no way to "catch him" when you got no one on the case.

I'm almost certain he doesn't want to do the show anymore, at least full time.  And if he wanted to do it on a part time basis, he would have done that, or would be doing that now.

Art started doing the paranormal shows when tired of doing politics.  Given that the paranormal genre has been done to death, and is frankly mostly debunked, it wouldn't surprise me if he were tired of that as well after so many years of it. 

I think Art has an addiction to being on radio without wanting the hassle and daily grind of being on radio. He is trying every once in awhile to recapture the magic he felt hosting C2C from the mid-90's to early 2000.

How true.  I'm 50, but imagine the vacillating psychology of a creative 70 year old who wants to recapture more productive and energetic years on one hand, while looking with a jaundiced eye at inevitably dwindling years ahead.  For me, family would come first as I experienced my twilight years.

Agreed...Steve should just continue doing his own thing...and his concept of adding true crime to the long talk format was brilliant...he needs to continue to build his own brand...

I don't like the way Art Bell was treating,..[and quitting],..on his children , his wifes , and
the shows.

He said that cable was cut on the outside of the studio, ...why he did not post any pictures of cut cables.
He was posting other pictures... of his studio, property,his gun ..etc,etc,.. why not post such dramatic pictures to present listeners with factual visual evidence of cut cables.

Im not saying that the cables were not cut, ...but is fishy to me.
And same fishiness applies to his other ...stories.
