This reminds me of people who move to a tropical island because of its  beauty and charm and immediately begin to change it to look like where they moved from. Not to say this forum is a beautiful tropical island.

I think MV said in the last GC that it never was strictly an AB fan forum. If it was, it wouldn't have had various name changes. I joined when it was Coastgab. I found it via Expat's blog looking for stuff about Hoagland's BS. Who I viewed (and still do) as a pantomime villain, who is so ludicrous that he's a parody of himself.

I download these as they come down with my pod catcher... I dont think i've gotten through a whole show yet.  Even putting the half-hour commercials aside.  It's been like listening to Noory.  You could have the most faschinating guest and it will still suck.

I can't find it in me to muster up any kind of disagreement with you. But I do like the interrogation styles of Chris and Jean much better then George's. At least they listen to the responses to their questions.

they had somebody on a while back where I listened to the whole show and I liked it which is why i have been constantly downloading the more recent ones.... probly only been a few months.  How long was Art back for this time about 6 months?  I just haven't gotten through a whole show since the one that prompted me to "start" listening regularly.  I have not yet removed them from the list of podcasts I currently listen to tho!  So, they are definitely better than jorch don't get me wrong

I was told in my phone conversation with Art Bell that he had (in Sept) 11,500 subscribers and then proceeded to inform me that Richard Hoagland has (as of Sept) 7000 subscribers, do the math ! these guys are getting rich and while I have no problem with people  getting paid for their time,I do have a problem with people claiming they need money when in fact they do not,I also have a problem with people taking the money and running like Art did. Art planned this all along,his putting Heather in his place. He made his money fools !

... Anyhow, I know it's heresy to not hate Noory, but I don't totally hate the show...

Give it time, you'll start to notice certain things.  Same questions over and over - regardless of guest or topic, continual failure to follow up an interesting point made by the guest, George not listening or following the conversation and just going to the next question on the list, the ever growing list of things George has no clue about, the everyday words he doesn't know how to pronounce, starting all over with the same questions each time a guest appears.

Listen long enough, you'll become a connoisseur.

I have found the best strategy for me is to not open several threads. Then after a couple days, just mark them as read and click.

I disagree, a bit. Respectfully. There are tons of people on BellGab that you very much want to interact with, for many reasons. When a troll comes along, it only takes a couple of responses to figure out whether to continue. Don't continue if there's hate and grief; do continue if you're talking to an actual person who cared enough to write in the first place.
