The last few days I thought I heard a new commercial or two from Art. I wonder, if this is the case, is it OK with the stalker if Art still does commercials from behind the scenes?

No doubt the stalker has a bad back, too, so he's probably letting this pass.  He may get really pissed, though, if he finds out it doesn't work any better than Carnivora.

Art Bell left, remember?  Besides, he fucked himself.  It's his own damned fault.  I don't blame the guy for wanting to protect his family, but jesus christ, he didn't do himself any favors moving back to his old stomping grounds and announcing such.  With all that cool cash he was bringing in, he should have been able to hire at least a couple round the clock guards or just plain moved to a new location - or pretend he did.   He blew it, just like he blew everything else.  And he continually acts unprofessional, just as you have done in your last few posts.   Falkie was right about one thing, the sky keeps falling around Art Bell, it seems.  If you were smart, you'd be the one leaving Bellgab, not Art.

All good points. It is fairly heretical to say anything good about Noory on BG. But ironically, with Heather (Noory's big critic here) taking over MITD, some people were at some point going to assess the two with Noory comparing favorably.

You do take what you can get, as long as it's reasonably listenable, and I have been looking for alternatives. Once in a while, I'll land on C2C with one host or another doing the show. After all the start-up dramas enveloping MITD, I do appreciate a professionally run radio operation that keeps things moving along smoothly.

I gave noory's program a very fair objective chance and he had me hating it within a week. Have you tried "the Paracast"? with Jean Steinberg and Chris O'Brien. Commercials are marathon frequent and  four:31 minutes long  (Which can be fast forwarded through). The program is usually over two hours long and every now and then they have a decent guest. It's an alternative and I would say better then George Nori.

Which then kind of defeats the whole point of the ignore list if you ask me.  Don't get me wrong, I like that it's there (in case some idiot posts shock pics or something and MV is sleeping and can't take them down)--I just haven't had a use for it yet.

Thanks, I will check that out. A steady diet of Noory is not recommended, but an occasional listen will probably not kill you. Also, one might get lucky with a guest host, some of whom are listenable, especially if it's just background to whatever else you're doing. George Knapp, as others have said, can do a good show.

I download these as they come down with my pod catcher... I dont think i've gotten through a whole show yet.  Even putting the half-hour commercials aside.  It's been like listening to Noory.  You could have the most faschinating guest and it will still suck.
