Art's choice of Heather is to me the most interesting topic discussed on this thread since his departure. Not because of all the scandalous stuff but in light of the whole idea of relaunching this magnificent ship only to abandon it to a very questionable heir. It's fascinating to me as someone who sees the various facets of this story.

There's the whole trend of people being appointed into (or self-appointing into) jobs they have no business being in, which is occurring more and more in various fields and parts of society (look at presidential politics). There's the whole anonymity issue which has only become an issue with the arrival of the Internet and social media. There's the massive change going on in the media world as it tries to adapt to major technological developments. I'm just scratching the surface of what this single event evokes when you stop and think of the context in which it has happened. Most of my more serious posts touch on things like this.

Now, you insist on calling this participation of mine and some others "invested" which is your prerogative. I'm trying to point out that saying this is not only pointless, it is also meaningless. You're making a judgement about my motivation for posting which adds nothing to the conversation. It's doubly meaningless because you have been remarkably silent about what I might have at stake in posting, what I have "invested." Unless you'd like to abuse another word and call me a troll, which is the most insulting thing you could say, by the way.

Now you know what interests me about recent events from my own mouth, in unmistakeable words. If you feel like being critical of me, please avail yourself of this information. Better yet, respond to some of the larger issues I've tried to bring up.

I havnt listened this time around because tbh I didnt know he ever returned. I certainly would have listened. I didnt hear anything about anything until I was on a forum and someone had an 'Art bell quits again"  thread.

he's shot himself in the foot, burned bridges and quit for reasons (never his fault..ever) only to return again several times already.

I can only speculate- But here goes.

Art quit Sirus and took a lot of shit over it. More than he probably thought he would. He said he would come back once the no compete was over and probably really meant it with all his heart. keith and others went all out to make a station, make deals and have things ready once Art could return.

Time passed, excitement grew, fans started getting ready and filling himwith adoration which he enjoyed and he went through with it.

didnt take long and he realized he really didnt want to be strapped to a chair 5 nights a week or whatever- Which I dont blame him for.

Probably got a crank call and then started making an exit plan because he wanted to 'save face' be able to quit without a rehash of the sirus debacle and with sympathy from his remaining fans.

You will find a copy of our floor plan at the Pahrump courthouse, so you shouldn't have trouble in the dark and night vision is always a possibility like that scene in Silence of the Lambs when Buffalo Bill is right behind Ellie and you're freaking out by how close he is. Remember the back door sticks sometimes so a window would be your best bet, preferably while we are asleep. Also, I tend to doze off during Wheel of Fortune.
