Oh, in case you're wondering, the glider is a Grob 103.

There is a glider?  Where?

No.  He didn't have time because he was busy reading & writing here.

Am I the only one who "hears" his posts in his voice?

Hi Casio. Welcome back. You should post more.

Thing is, I don't know why the MIL...I mean pilot is wearing a crash helmet. Must be merely to disguise the big reveal...

He did not post their personal address. If you hadn't clicked the link and actualyy read through the filing you would not have seen it.

Edit: Plus when it was brought to his attention, he offered to delete it, but too much time had passed.

DankPenguin posted a lot of inflammatory bullshit, not just a link to the video.

As though a crazed stalker wouldn't click through? It's completely irresponsible.

I'm not defending DPs aggressive baiting of the mundanes here but as freyja pointed out, he's not saying anything new at all. Literally nothing new. Compared to sharing a home address, it's just noise.

Apparently I've assumed the mantle of somebody who was disgusting in most ways imaginable, but had an entertaining sense of humor.  I'd still rather have his watch co.

Barfly posts Keith and Mary's home address and no one bats an eye because it's "public knowledge" even though I've been here for years and have never seen it. DP posts a youtube video concerning ancient Art news and there's a manhunt apparently.

There is some sort of cosmic justice going on where Art gets off on putting BellGab up to harassing Richard's show, yet he's the one driven off the air. When Team Noory threaten legal action about what's been said on this forum, Art claims "public person, deal with it sucka" yet bring up anything uncomfortable for him and he flips out. The man has too much time on his hands.

Just received it in the mail yesterday.  If I can't listen to Art, I'm going to read his books.  If I have time.  I barely have the ability to read my favorite author's books..

I see there's about 20 pages since I last posted.. or so. Good grief. Was Art on last night? Or what?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you are going to very disappointed.

Art's a great broadcaster (at least he used to be), but his books are terrible.  It's like there was no co-operation between him and his ghostwriter, and no editor involved anywhere along the line.  Seriously.  They are close to being unreadable.  Right up there with Worker in the Light.

It appears that your "World's best site blocker/productivity enhancement tool" has morphed into the "World's best BellGab thread manager/online addiction enabling tool".

You have no proof Art put anyone up to anything concerning RCH's show other than getting the timeslot for him and recommending SaucyRossy as the producer. Everything else is rumor and hearsay.

The whole problem with that little kerfuffle was that nobody was willing to come out and say anything about it, so it was all hearsay of one kind or another. However, there was an awful lot of smoke where Art was concerned, and the rumours were pretty strong (from those in the know) that they had received their orders from the top. We know Art and RCH fell out. We also know that Art is the sort of guy who will get you back one way or the other, if he can. Maybe those idiots got together and organised it all themselves, but they strike me as the sort of people who would need supervision to tie their own shoelaces.

RCH's show content is usually embarrassing enough.  I don't think there was any need to encourage people to harass him.

May well be.  I just take issue with someone stating something as fact when it is conjecture.

Hopefully all that flooding I keep reading about is not affecting you.

Is Britain under any heightened state of alert right now do to all of the "chatter" I have been reading about?

No, certain people were getting PMs that night to call in and make trouble. It was an organised thing, not spontaneous. I'm sure every program is going to get prank calls, but that night they were trying to dump on him from a great height. The PM also mentioned that they were acting on orders, or some crap like that, so they weren't just doing it for the hell of it.

Where have I seen this exact same thing before?
Hmmm?

You notice most respectable well known (wait I can't even say that, as Paperboy pointed out he's not well known anymore) semi known internet radio people keep their private lives private.

This has become the theater of the bizarre.

Slight correction.  Art Bell was never well known.

At his height, he had 15 million listeners, but radio audiences are reported in cumulatives for a week.  That's really 3 million listeners a night for 5 nights.  Anyone tuning in for just a few minutes was counted in the 3 million, although I suspect many if not most of Art's fans tuned in every night and stayed for much of the show.

The show came on at 10 pm west coast and 1 am east coast, few were even able to hear it.

That's not to say he wasn't a top broadcaster, or that he wasn't worthy of 'rock star' status.  It's not to say his show wasn't influential.  It's just that he wasn't ever really that well known by the general public.  I've met exactly one person who knew who he was, and that person thought he was still doing Coast long after he had left.

Exactly; and if the same had been turned on AB, well, nothing would have been said..The loyal disciples would have held their counsel.

It's conjecture, no doubt, but there is enough to go on to make it a feasible proposition.

The flooding is up in the north, and I am far down in the south. Although where I live has been flooded before in the 'sixties, but they claim it has been 'fixed'. Let's hope!

As far as 'chatter' goes, you know more than me. There is always some reason to be on alert for one reason or another, and we have had the IRA for too long to take much notice of one news report more than any other.

There he is! The busiest man, in show business, himself! We're so glad that you could spare the time, out of your busy, busy schedule, to disable your "world's best site blocker" and shine your wisdom down upon us, today.

whoozit

The truth is none of us know exactly what is going on.  I have no idea of the full details of anything that has been discussed here lately.  I understand being pissed at Art and kicking him for quitting.  All of the other stuff about Art's family seems over the line to me.  The anonynimity of the Internet causes many to go overboard with comments.  In the old days this resulted in the speculator getting punched in the face.https://youtu.be/GNkViBQ9EvY

He's been a real ass about it, nothing clever, nothing interesting, no new perspectives, nothing new at all, just a hundred posts of the same garbage.

At some point isn't enough enough, even on BellGab?  At some point don't other posters simply walk away?

Thank goodness for the ignore feature and the scroll bar

This has been explained to me like four times and I still don't get it, something about overnights don't matter it is the ads they sell during the day or something like that. Dammit, I'm butchering it. LOL.

And I have asked countless people about Rollye and Art and none of them know who either are. My friends know I am crazy so they just nod along.  ::)
