No...just commenting that since Arf is gone, most of us including me, will not be posting as much as before...that's all...and if anyone else stops posting for good, I just wanted to say goodbye to them...

Okay. Who's Arf?

Didn't you quit BellGab yesterday?
Quitting is a hallowed, longtime tradition of our cult and leader.

Family First.

My opinion is that it's likely to involve some kind of psychological/emotional problems, considering the past history also. Obviously I don't actually know who Art is though or much about him, just the public information.

Assuming it is all true, yeah. It is easy to say, and maybe does make good government/police policy, but 'not giving in to kidnappers or terrorists' is often not a good one once it gets personal; or at least a damn hard one to keep at that point.

I can only take so much quitting at one time.  :)

You can quit but you can never leave.

What if he taped his program during the day, and then it aired at night?  :P

MR. Spock

Art quits but george noory does not. Wtf.  Art it's hard to be a fan of your.

TigerLily

Thanks for any and all communication, Art. You have to do what is best for you and the girls.  I really hope we get to listen to you again soon.
Now I will go back to picking up the shattered pieces of my life and lock the door so creepy Uncle sNorge doesn't try to sneak in and get me again.
No guilt though, Art  ;)

Wasn't any more or less silly than other suggestions.  Honestly, while I'm selfish and want to hear more Art Bell, I don't know if I could handle him coming back and then quitting again.. even if for very good reasons.  I think I'm concerned about him continually posting on FB about it. I get that he feels guilty, he's upset he has to quit doing what he loves, and he's tired of the people spewing nonsense about him faking all of this to get attention. But he's pretty much made it damn near zero possibility of anyone taking him back.  :(  Fans yes, but the people who have worked for him for years? The networks? I dunno..

MR. Spock

Art you should have one last show and let your fans say good bye then ride off into the sunset. The way you handle it was like giving us the middle finger. I know that your family comes first.  But we let you into our home so your like family to many of us.

No offense there, but that's a little creepy. It's just a damn radio show. Sure it's a show we all liked a lot but it is just a damn radio show. Ease up on the Romulan ale or whatever it is you're drinking man  :)

There is also something to be said, though, on the idea that some people, who are for lack of a better word idolised or some kind of figurehead, to have somewhat of a responsibility to weather the storm and rise to any such challenge. That's more the arena of younger people with more excitement and brash conviction in their actions, though, I think.

We have to establish it's not Art's fault. He's just a tumbleweed in the winds of fate.

So Bob Bain in midnight fans is out calling redacted "fake midnight" and urging people to listen to his show. He's implying he is heir to arts legacy.

oof.  douche chills.

Well to put it more simply; people who put themselves into that kind of position could anticipate and overcome most threats or dangers, even when it's very disagreeable and can damage their personal life, to more effectively enforce their role and their statements.

As a counterargument, I offer you George Noory, with his tenacity of the cockroach.
