We gained art back on the "radio". But lost him on the forum😔
It's ok, he's back! He will post something cool when he can

I'm trying to think of another wormhole question to ask that'll get on air……i'm trying to go 2 for 2 people, this is only thing i have to look forward to in life. It's sad.

What at first I thought was awkward between you two is beginning to seem very natural.

Wherefore Art thou.  :'(
Did you miss Art's thank you post here?  He also said he'd be posting less on BG, with MITD keeping him busy, as to be expected.

Of course, if you treat MV nice, he might forward Art's special PMs to you, Jaz.

MV/Liberace!

I'm so happy to have Art back I don't really care what he wants to cover.

This, too.

Hey, you could be eagerly waiting for Dave's next concert in Toronto.  Now that's sad.

How do you know i'm not?? :-(

Just thought I'd try the shortwave thing tonight.  Going to be listening on 5085 via a program called "Sigmira" that allows one to tune into shortwave via network-connected software defined radios.  Just tuned in, and they're just finishing "Hurdy Gurdy Man" right now... this should be interesting.

Let us know how it works out. Listened the past few days on SW Radio and it worked great (actually much better than expected with no long antennae or modifications to an old, but reliable, Sony ICF-SW11 on batteries, but never streamed the actual SW signal on computer (though I have a few programs, apps who claim to be able to do so.)

I bet Dave will be tuning in to MiTD tonight with his own bumpers.  It's not like he's busy.

Using the network database feature of Sigmira, (found at http://www.saharlow.com/technology/sigmira/ ) I was able to connect as guest to a Kentucky-based antenna that seems to pick up all of Art's Shortwave broadcasters at the moment.  The best one is 5085 out of TN because they're not playing weird religious stuff and their signal is solid--they're just playing good classic rock right now leading up to Art.

Break a leg, Art.  Hope JC doesn't call in this time.

One of these days, Chefist, you're going to have to get right down with someone and have a conversation about perversion.

its weird because WTWW is, normally, a more religious station (fine my me, whatever floats their boat) but I was wondering what they would play before/after Art's show. I listened on that frequency also but didn't listen before/after...now curious. I got it strong here for MITD both nights in my FEMA Region VI.

Sure, but if I'm going to get a direct stream instead, I may as well just use the high quality AAC straight from DMDN.  The point of Sigmira was to use my PC to listen to the actual over-the-air broadcast with buzz and fade and that low-bandwidth AM sound...
