Sorry Rossy...you are correct. Please tell me which thread you think we can pick up our discussion?  If you can tell me about the things you said before about the leaders being sorry they used the A bomb, as I try to be open minded and I just never heard that or read it anywhere, can you point me to where you got it?

The usa conquers, colonizes, and sets up so many puppet governments, supports corrupt regimes, and has more military bases on every continent than you could shake a stick at.  To kill another person face to face, you have to have so much negative energy in you.  To kill another person from the seat of a jet or bomber, or the seat of a drone, all you need to do is disconnect your self from love and compassion.  Killing someone from a comfortable chair is not any better than killing someone with a knife or a suicide bombing.


I was taught to worship the usa flag as a child and "pledge" my "allegiance" to it, which supposedly had some blessings of some ethnic deity.  I will never worship a flag or deity, now that I am an adult and I understand life. 


If you look all over the world, there are masses of people on every continent that would go kill another person, simply because someone standing in front of a domestic flag told them to, or someone holding a religious book of the domestic religion said to. 


You can see this in every part of the world, people standing in front of their domestic flag, holding a book of the domestic religion, shouting to brainwash other people, using these two symbols as if it gives them some sort of magical authority.

So what should the US do when our friends, allies, and interests are threatened or attacked?  Just roll over for those ''who believe in violence to solve problems''?  Can people like Hitler, Pol Pot, Castro, ISIS, etc, and other lesser cretins really be reasoned with, compromised with?  Wouldn't we ultimately end up with only those ''who believe in violence to solve problems'' in charge everywhere?

I'm sure the ''people who believe in non-violence to solve problems'' wouldn't mind living in regimes with people like that in charge.  Right?

I agree.   And I believe that usually, the unscrupulous heads of movements are not patriots or religious believers, but use religion and patriotism to motivate the masses to kill each other. 

So to me religion and patriotism can be used as tools by which the public can be manipulated.  Believing in things can bring out the very best in man, but we should never put logic and common sense to rest for the sake of a flag or a religion.

Everyone wants quick objective answers to the world's problems.  There are none.  The answers are subjective in most cases.  People bring up Pol Pot, Stalin, Hitler, and what should be done about these violent world leaders. 


If the people who followed and adored these leaders rejected violence, then we would not have war and genocide in these cases.  Genocide has occurred on every continent, it is not something special to Europe or Cambodia.


There is always going to be someone who has bigger muscles than you, or more guns than you, etc..  A world without violence would have no government, and stronger communities, and much more diversity of cultures.  When people can form their own independent thoughts and opinions, the world is a stronger place, and interesting place. 


Anything created and maintained with violence, has no right to exist.  Violence has no right to exist.[/size]


Nations are cultures, and cultures are nations.  A regional culture is a nation as well, and a regional culture is also a country. Many people believe they must be part of a government-state to have an identity, so they will defend anything done by this government-state, because they believe it is vital to their own existence.
