Thank you for replying. I also hope, besides a way for "gift" memberships that payments from anonymous accounts, foreign currencies, bit (and other) coins, prepaid cc, paypal, etc will be an option. Some of use want to pay, and give others listening ability also, but don't trust the 'system' or want to do as a gift. Also it would be good for a txt based payment system (for those on the grid. Or wanting to donate, etc

I've added an Australian clock to my growing row of time pieces on the dumb Mac dashboard thing. I had a choice of many cities, and I chose Darwin. Because, Galapagos. It's so weird to think of Jaz as a daytime guy, but it's late afternoon there and lovely deep velvet in the night here. So weird.

I like bitcoin- but it's place is not buying a subscription to MITD.  If somebody were really that worried, they could buy a prepaid mastercard using bitcoin and pay using that... I cannot imagine that Art feels like converting one subscription of bitcoins each month to USD...

You only need to add half an hour to Darwin time to get jaz standard time or JST.

I have it on pretty good authority that pre registration will begin on June 20th. Watch ArtBell.com. It's a pretty big deal for us because if we don't get enough people willing to support the show there is simply no way in the long run that we can keep a free streaming show up there and as you all know that was my promise.

If you're relying so heavily on us to subscribe, and you're gauging interest based on said subscriptions...then why didn't you just have a Kickstarter or Gofundme?  By going this route, honestly Art it feels like this will be a perfect excuse for you to relieve yourself of any responsibility if you decide to pull the plug again using the excuse that not enough people had interest in subscribing.

At least with doing a kickstarter you aren't getting up everyone's hope again...you either get funded or you don't.  Many many people under the same circumstances as you have used those types of platforms to see if their goal is viable / to gauge interest.  Just something to chew on for a while...though obviously it's too late now.
