Everything has a "Soul" or more exactly a Kami; people, animals, plants, dirt, rocks, water, air, stars, eveything. At least that is what my old animist Shinto "soul" tells me.

Larvae, bacteria and viruses have souls too? And stones? That's a lot of souls. When I break a stone in two pieces, did I just create a new soul, or are they one soul in 2 bodies?

One "soul" can inhabit many "bodies" throughout many times/places at once.

I don't know about rights but I think I know about Souls (if they are real). When I look into my cat's eyes they look just as deep as a Humans, they have joy, happiness, sadness, jealousy, love and on and on. If we have Souls, so do they. That should start a good fight.

I am on the other board, and have been on this one for three years, and in no way am associated with premier. They are kind, friendly people. Not everyone is cut out for this board, so I dont' see anything wrong with someone else having another Art Bell fan board. After all, aren't we all here or there because we love Art and want to promote his new show? I don't dig the whole us and them vibe.

. I am sleeved (tattoo wise)on one side, worked at Chrysler Financial for damned near 10 years, and have a degree in English from Wayne State, and also have held my current job for almost 4. So please don't judge someone based on their appearance.

Do you have to keep all tattoos covered-up at work?
Seriously, we have a no uncovered tattoo policy (Financial Business) but it's getting harder to find people that don't show a little.
I'm not anti Tats, but if I changed the policy, wouldn't know where to draw the line???

I will go further than you Art, I know you're a cat man but I am a dog lover.. Either way, here is my point: When a tame animal becomes a member of a family, they assimilate faster than humans. They are kinder than humans.. they lose their judgmental selves.. They lose their egos. Humans only get worse with time.
I think if souls exist animals have them. And then some.

Ah, ok, I take your points, but I just cannot separate someone doing something to their appearance as not having something to do with their desired effect on others.  But with that said, I take body art in stride, I see it for what is often is, a way for a person to fit in and follow a trend.  I was a little upset when my wife got our infant daughter's ears pierced, but I realize that in her culture (and in most latin cultures) it seems that is normal.  But it bothered me, just as forcing babies to get male or female circumcision. 

Were I to meet you in person, you'd probably not notice my reaction to the body alterations, but I'd have made a mental note to "watch out" at least.  But there are many things that cause me to make a mental note, such as a Harley rider, riding motorcycles involves a desire to take risks (Yeah, I've ridden bikes and yeah, it's fun, but it's also a great way to end a life), so when I see most anything my mind makes notes on what I see and hear and feel.  I don't send people down the garbage chute just because of things, but I make a note and keep questions inside my head.

I'm sure IRL we'd be friends, so you wouldn't even know or if you did, you'd know that I got around it anyways.  But, as far as dating goes, if I weren't committed totally in my relationship I'd avoid certain things:  I won't go near smokers or drug users, I avoid body art, and I avoid women that seek a lot of attention of any kind.  What is interesting is that my wife has a similar attitude to mine, if I were to get body art she'd be quite unhappy, she won't even let me get my left ear pierced again, and at least I know she cares that way.

I just think it's unfair to demand others to not react to something that at its core, INVOKES reaction.  But I'm sure you're a dandelion/rose of a person and a great soul.  Live and let live, yes, absolutely, but mental notes are made just in case.  Mind you, I also don't go for short hair styles except some flapper style do's and don't like beehives either.  We all have our silly things.

I myself only go for the long haired ladies.  I am glad we are chatting laser broadening my horizons!

White Crow you are a funny guy and your Mom has my favorite forum name, Mczippie! I still laugh about that. Anyway I work in an office and my boss is pro tattoo. Overall I have never had an employer turn me down due to them. Chrysler was strict when I started and at the end the policy was tossed out due to most of the managers having them.

I used to have a trippy tortoise-shell kitty that would randomly stand on her back legs & do that praying thing while staring off into space.  Even better when she did it in front of company.  The reactions were just as entertaining.
