Art--was thinking of your requirement of a high energy opening...so I explored the masters, Led Zeppelin AND found 4 awesome ones for your consideration:



1.) Ramble on--lyrically cool and really rocking.


2.) When the Levee Breaks--another epic rocker with lyrics that can fit the show well enough.


3.) Stairway to Heaven--doesn't rock the whole way and used a lot but still it's awesome and metaphysical.


4.) Babe I'm Gonna Leave You--just about my favorite...it is absolutely THUNDERING.

Found one more, more obscure from the last ANIMALS album(Ark 1983) AND it's fittingly called:

I on the other hand, think it is the perfect lead out. I think others here do too. It has the perfect tempo for an ending. Plus, it is informative and begging you to reflect on the show you just heard. I just love those lyrics!

The lead out of a show has to incorporate the idea there is another show coming up of someone else. They can choose to have heavy a hitting intro or continue with a reflective tempo intro their show. Crystal's song is perfect for this, either way.

My final comment on it is, I don't think you can find a better closure for Art's shows, than Midnight in the Desert.

I love this heavy debate about music. Is it any wonder Art was worried about bumper music? I think it would be a nice idea for Art to play his intro all the way through once during the first week. A "Let's take this journey together on this song!" Maybe the intro first, and the next night journey through his closure.
