What happened to the countdown clock someone started to tick off the days, hours, and minutes til Art would be able to "compete"?  Wasn't that a Keith Rowland thing? That would give us the original date prediction put out. (How quickly we forget these things.)

To clear up some of the confusion here (my own especially), when people say they saw an Art statement "on Facebook," I've been assuming they meant it's come in on their FB news feed because they are a "friend of Art Bell."  The latest FB quote being discussed here is from an Art Bell fansite, "People Who Love Art Bell." I don't follow them, but I guess I will now that it appears that Art is spreading the (fill in your word of choice) in more than one location.

Yes, my very own Frankenstein's monster!  That said it was actually speculation that Art might be making excuses to quit Dark Matter.  How'd that turn out?

And this one is more like--some once removed Art news from Keith.  My prediction on this one--Art will be back but not for a long time.  I'll be optimistic and put the over/under at 6 months.  At this point, i'll bet the over...which could be dead wrong!

I'm guessing three months, with a show once per week.  He'll get frustrated and bored after two months.

To me, it sounds like a clear reference to that recent story about how Facebook was studying if they could manipulate the emotions of their users.  Maybe Art is getting a little more savvy about these things.

I only read a little on that story.  I might care more if I were on Facebook and being used a a test subject.  Knowing the ethics of that corporation and the privacy expectations everybody on facebook should have I just cannot be bothered to care.

Anybody who continues to use the service deserves to be treated exactly like a Guinea pig.

If only he was still on air. I know this subject has been labored over and debated endlessly, but I wanted to listen to Art on SiriusXM (or just in any format) at Christmas last year..

Remember this time last year, around July 4? Art was posting his weird messages and Morse Code along with fireworks from Nevada as a run up to his Sirius announcement..

Would you be extremely pissed if Art teams up with Alex Jones and starts broadcasting nightly for free online?
Would you subscribe to Infowars.tv and get all his shows to download (plus whatever Alex already puts there) and support Art financially (as he would get his fair share of the subscriber money)?
I'm wondering if you would support Art to take the better Infrastructure and make the better show or if you would somehow feel "betrayed" because he doesn't stick with that Dark Matter Network.

   I'd hope Art's decades in broadcasting, culminating with his inductance into the hall of fame, would have given him... pause.
   If Art was to turn his back on peddling goo, and any other "pay to play" advertiser's... through a vehicle like www.patreon.com he could really speak his mind without the "topical withholding" needed to keep the status quo.
   In 2014... nobody with the clout, and cachet Art Bell has, needs to march to anyone else's tune.
   I hope Art finds a way to bring back some real free speech to the airwaves via the internet, or a new tin can & string implementation he may be cooking up in R & D.

Instead of a Countdown Clock, howsa bout a Shutdown Virus. Any time Art post some cryptic nonsense on the Intertweb about his possible coming back, the virus will kick in and erase all of it! Only when he REALLY returns to the airwaves will  the virus will shutdown.
I think we are all tired of his Mystic maybe I'll be back crap.
He's getting bad as most old guys his age, ask them a question, they start rambling on, but never getting right to the answer.
