I must reiterate. Great show tonight on Somewhere In Time. Is anyone else listening?

I will listen once it is posted to YouTube.

This one is another "new" classic which is why these SIT shows are so important to the classic collectors. Thank you Premiere radio for having faith in Art and rewarding the faithful. Fuck off for everything else that you do. I would prefer to spend 4 hours nightly on the toilet with explosive diarrhea than listen to Noory. Keep up the good work with SIT though.

Mels-hole1984

Wait!... Are you telling me Art Bell de-claws his cats? That's it,... Art can get fucked!...GEORGE NOORY FOR LIFE!!!

slippingaway

I just got a Kitten a while back, tricked my girlfriend into naming him Artemis so I can call him Art.  He's about to lose his claws and his balls once he's old enough if he doesn't calm his ass down

I may be sitting at home alone on a Saturday night, again, but at least George Noory is not on the radio right now.

SO boring.

Mels-hole1984

MV is a CIA agent. He's FBI...waiting for the next moment to fuck us all over.

To the trained ear, they both sound the same.

And they both feel the same when they're over. Relief with a sting in the rear.

Hehe I'm not sure he can be, they have strict rules on marriage and employment.

Why not just listen to a historical stream?

Why not just listen to a historical stream?

The majority of the shows aired on SIT are "new" as in they are not available on any of the torrents or YouTube or any of the shared collections out there. The majority of the SIT shows have not aired outside their original airdate so for the hardcore collectors this is the gift that keeps on giving. We shouldn't bite the hand that feeds us (premiere) but we can piss on Noory.

dan7800

Ah, makes sense.

I haven't even bothered tuning to a "regular" radio station that plays Coast since I cannot stand George's voice.

FallenSeraph

I know I've been gleefully raving all over this forum about finding the original Art Bell interview with Father Malachi Martin (thank you, FrankOMundo!), so I promise this'll be my last rave.

I'm listening to Hours 3 and 4 now and it's so glorious to me that Art has been holding a FASCINATING conversation with MARTIN for FOUR HOURS straight and I still can't get enough. There have been no pauses or awkward questions. Just four hours of nonstop fascinating stuff. And Art started the whole conversation by saying (paraphrasing), "Father, you'll have to excuse me if I stumble and bumble my way through this interview â€" I don't have a background in Catholicism." Father Martin replied, "Art, I doubt you could stumble and bumble your way through anything," and damn if he wasn't right.

THIS, THIS, THIS is how it's done, kids. I'm having a mild fanatical moment here. BOW DOWN before the master, George.

Dang, I'm sad. There'll never be another one like Art. He was extraordinary and SHARP AS HELL. And yeah, that's resignation in my tone. He won't be back.

Those were truly the good old days.

DAMN YOU, ART. You broke my heart, seriously.

Pretty much sums it up for all of us.

Wells?  Noory?   :P  This I understand.  Did Art really come back on the air last year for a little while?  Was it but a dream?  It all seems so unreal now.  :(

Same here.  Same for SIT.  Just too painful.  The only thing worse is listening to Noory.

there much that is far worse. such as the garbage on the moving picture box.IMHO noory is pure gold in comparison... which aint saying much. the difference between Art and george is Art knows how to turn most anything into some sort of entertainment for his listeners.

All good things.....

One thing I've noticed about these famous radio hosts... Once they reach their peak and retire, they're pretty much done.  They may flirt with a return and even come back for a short time, but like the great band or athlete, once they start to decline, their motivation just isn't the same.

Not only that, but the skill they had atrophies. Didn't happen with Art, but it sure happened with Bob Grant. His last few years on WABC were, umm, uneven. Every once in a while you'd see flashes of greatness, but this was not 1987 Bob Grant.

Why don't you ask Art if he's going to stay?
Why don't you ask ART if he's going away?

Why doesnt Art tell us what's going on?
Why don't you tell us who's on the phone?

Why don't you ask Art what's going on?
Why don't you ask George who's the latest on his throne?

Don't say that you love Noory

Just tell me that you dont want JBW

The guy is special.  Give him a break.  Most entertainers are screwy in real life.  It comes with the territory.  Social awkardness sometines is the price one artest must pay for creativity.  Don't try to get to know them personally or be their 'special friend'.   Relationsaips are problematic and limited to a very few close friends to begin with .  They don't need the leg crawlers and the Klingons.  They need their space to create or do whatever it takes to do the job and simply don't have time to visit or talk to hords of loving fans on a detailed basis.  Fans who feel because of the knowledge of a few personal facts about the celebrities lives feel they are entitled to voice or even have an opinion regarding the 'stars' pertsonal life; and then expect that person to conduct themselves as directed.   Fans are annoying, pushy, intrusive and sometimes an unfortunate byproduct of the show's popularity.
It's just a show. Get a life!  [absolutely no spell check...just for you.]

This entire post should preface every Art Bell Topic created/posted on BellGab for ALL TIME (except for the "get a life" part...kinda harsh,dude.).

I love art but reading through these latest posts I'm realizing I haven't been listening to any of his shows lately.  I actually deleted my old definitive torrent in anticipation of the new one.  I'll probly go back through the years again every 6 months or so once the final torrent comes out but the Dark Matter shows are just painful for me now.   I loved them when they happened live but the whole situation makes me unable to listen to them any more.

I've stopped listening to Art, too. I think we've heard the last of him and I'd rather have the treasured memories instead of trying to recapture the magic that once was.

I can't stomach it at the moment either.  I did listen to some old JC calls to cheer myself up in the midst, but every time I've tried listening to a full show, I can't make it through.

Yep.  I tried to listen to artbellalwayse.com, my own collection, all... just... too... much.

Seriously, Art talking to one of his cats. Good stuff. Especially considering the smegma poopicating on C2C each weeknight.

Poopicating. Sounds like something JC would accuse Art of doing. MV needs to put it up in the corner.

I listened to an old AB program where Art was talking about his beloved Abby Dos reacting to the music Art was playing in his studio. And this from a cat whose hearing was damaged. While most of the time he tried to keep the cats out of the studio while on the air, this time he had 2 cats in the studio. I would love to have heard his kitties meow on the air.
I wonder if his non compete keeps him from being on ham radio as well.
I guess he's given up on fighting the non compete forever.
I do wonder WHY Noory is so fascinated with creepy illness and death stories.
Axe murder has little to do with the paranormal, though tonights show so far is interesting but not something I normally would listen to.
Time to feed the cats. Fuzzy cat is squeaking for petting. She's now taken over the tv chair and loves her belly rubs.
One quick question. Do you know anyone who has ever taken or seen Carnivora ?
The guy keeps saying it attacks harmful invaders of the immune system so I suppose it doesn't work on viruses like aids, herpes, etc.

I feel the exact same way.

I am a huge fan of Art. I've been listening to his classic shows for years in the car and before I sleep almost exclusively. However since the "incident" I am finding myself less motivated to listen anymore. For the first month or two I couldn't listen at all and then I got my mojo back for awhile but now I have soured on it a little.

If my story and the others above are what the hardcore fans are experiencing then imagine what the other not so hardcore fans are doing. Not listening or thinking about Art. Will I listen if he comes back? Sure. But will the not so hardcore even care anymore? Stay tuned .....

Sorry for the disjointed ramblings. I'm tired.
