Someone on another thread posted this Radio Ratings site:
http://www.radioratingz.com/ratings/8516/Radio+Show+Art+Bell+Dark+Matter.html
Apparently, one can post a review of the show. I don't know how relevant this site is, but it would be nice to see lots of positive reviews of Art and his Dark Matter show.

Art_s Farts

Just sent this to Art's ghost picture contest. I am positive that it won't be posted but I thought I'd share

[attachimg=1]

I named the picture "C2C Ghost Picture" and gave the following description:

"I see the ghost of a once great program that finally died on September 16, 2013 after a long torturous 10 year decline.

Bellgabber"

grano salis

There will always be a societal (and cosmic) :)  need for good ART.

HA - should have put ghosted pizza rolls and hair care products in there with it!

This is probably old news for everyone, but did you know that Art has been mentioning BellGab on almost every program for a week now?  He even spelled it out.

Im gonna gush ..and maybe start hysterically scream/crying

I'm not sure if this was Malachi Martin or not, but I don't think it was. There was a guest that Art had on years ago who was a demonic exorcist? The one with the really gnarly recordings of supposed exorcisms? Those were creepy as fuck. Maybe it was Malachi, but I keep thinking it was someone else. I remember having the old coastgab stream playing one night and going to sleep to something benign but waking up to some kind of howling demonic recording hours later.

I'd like to hear Art do another show like that!

I just can't get over how perfect "Ride My See-Saw" with the "Departure" intro is as the theme song for Art's show. When people were asking Art if he was going to use The Chase, Art said, "I have a better idea." He was right.

Departure

Be it sight, sound, smell, or touch,
There's something inside that we need so much
The sight of a touch, or the scent of a sound,
Or the strength of an oak, with roots deep in the ground.
The wonder of flowers, to be covered,
and then to burst up through tarmac to the sun again
Or to fly to the sun without burning a wing,
To lie in a meadow and hear the grass sing.
To have all these things in our memories hoard,
and to use them to help us to find the lost chord...

Ride My See-Saw

Ride, ride my see-saw,
Take this place, on this trip, just for me.
Ride, take a free ride,
Take my place, have my seat, it's for free.

I worked like a slave for years,
Sweat so hard just to end my fears,
Not to end my life a poor man,
But by now, I know I should have run.

Run, run my last race,
Take my place, have this number of mine.
Run, run like a fire,
But don't you run in, in the lanes, run for time.

Left school with a first-class pass,
Started work but as second class,
School taught one and one is two,
But by now, that answer just ain't true.

My world is spinning around,
Everything is lost that I found,
People run, come ride with me,
Let's find another place that's free.

Pro sports is my #1 annoyance.
Well, having never been Weebered.
I suppose I should consider myself lucky for living such a charmed life.

Jesus, I don't even know what sport they play.
You are talking about sports, right?  In the Art Bell thread?
Maybe he's just really excited about Catholics.

I used to think the first couple of lines of 'ride my seesaw' went something like:

Why, why must the soul
take its place, on this trip, just for me?

I still kind of prefer that.

I was listening to an old show on a streaming site this morning.  It was a show where the Human Calculator was talking about his research into crop circles and how they make cameras malfunction.  He was also discussing how 9-11 was all about the number eleven, and the terrorists planned it that way.  It was hilarious.  God I love Art's show.

As of now, the schedule for next week is

10/14 - Mon - Loyd Auerbach, Parasychology
10/15 - Tue - Jim Sparks
10/16 - Wed - Tobias McGriff Ghost Tours
10/17 - Thu - Ghost Buster Gals

I love the Jim Sparks story. I think I'll listen again to an old interview to refresh my memory of the details. I hope his story hasn't changed over the years.

No, it's Dave Noorie that's retiring.  Maybe if we keep repeating this, somebody will take the hint.
