Sports talk has got to be for the brain-dead.  It's nothing but: "We ran hard, played hard, threw the ball, kicked the ball, made a touchtown, yeah this team can win, we got winning sprit........"  ENOUGH ALREADY!

I'm sure there are some on the other side that would say the same about subjects you listen to. I am a die hard Minnesota Vikings fan, I have season tickets, have had for many years, and enjoy the three hour post game radio show immensely. It's completely different than something like Art's show of course, but there is a place for both in the world. I would get used to no SIT, because it makes sense to me that as soon as he starts Dark Matter, they will kill the SIT shows all together, as they should.

I love sports talk radio, I listen all the time. But you are right, athletes rarely have anything intelligent to say, especially right after a game. I don't mind commentator analysis and fan phone calls. But please guys, do away with athlete interviews!

Local radio pre- and post-game shows aren't about discussing the game. They're about the forty-five minutes of that hour devoted to local commercials for car dealers and dog groomers.

Someone posted on Art's site informing him that George gave Art a shoutout and the end of the show to wish him luck for his debut.

Art responded by saying, "Well it's nice of him to say that but it's a little like Putin lobbing a Nuke over your city then calling to wish you a good Weekend."

That's going to be interesting to see.  I thought PremRat might have pulled SIT by now but it's still rolling.  If PremRat keeps SIT going after Art's debut, they should at least do him the courtesy of adding a promo pitch every half-hour or so of SIT,  something to the effect of "and don't forget to listen to Art Bell every week, LIVE on SiriusXM Radio!"

I'm thinking that SIT will be around for quite a while as it's likely in the contracts with radio stations and is part of the streamlink deal for folks to listen to. Unfortunately those shows' rights don't belong to Art.

To listen to SIT  I have to listen on line. WGAU ,Athens, GA has preempted on line due to Braves Baseball(They black out the game from on line too) so I switched to KOGO, San Diego.

but the message only mentions the time 7pm, doesn't mention the date or "tonight" so might just  be referring to the premiere tomorrow (Monday Sep 16) and Art wants to get the word out plenty early

I'm not sure if it's tonight or not. There's a good chance it's tonight because tomorrow is Michio Kaku, then again Sirius will let Art talk for as long as he wants so he could tell "the rest of the story" before Kaku is on.

When I first read Art's post about the show time I just assumed he was talking about Monday. Now I'm think he might be spilling the beans tonight as a "test" show so he can get down to business tomorrow night. I'll be listening just in case.

Signed up for the Sirius 30-day free trial. All seems to be working fine, But apparently, the player doesn't understand gestures. So back to the mouse and up/down arrow keys. 

They just ran a pretty good promo for Art's show!
