Unfortunately nothing gets people back together like a funeral. But I agree it is nice.

Always had mad respect for Art for going against the grain when he decided to do this type of show. It was the first AM show I would listen to, he was something special during his peak.

Before Art, I first listened Tom Snyder at night on the radio. I had seen him on TV before, but I enjoyed listening to him more on the radio.

:'( I’m sad to hear of Art’s death. Condolences to his family.

Art’s time on AM radio in the ‘90s was pure gold! So glad I got to take a ride and hear those Live shows. Thanks for the memories, Art.

No polyester suit to distract you.  ;)

I watched his TV shows a fair bit but never heard his radio show.

Of pressing concern:  How's Art's weird mouse from MitD coping with his passing?

Phaedra

Had to check in after a long while.  RIP Art

Thanks for everything, Art.  It was quite a ride.  Glad I got to share some of it with other bellgabbers.

What was the date of Art's last show?  He filled in for Heather one time?

The only one he did after he called in to help with her first show.

I was actually pleasantly surprised at the amount of people and news sources that covered Arts death. He hasn’t been on a well known show for wars. Yet, legions of his fans are coming out of the wood work.

Perhaps it's a dream.... nope we are stuck with it....

Yes I did it as a professional courtesy, I was at that point Retiring and did not get a penny for it, there was no reason not to be professional about it. I only knew he had been working in the field and agreed to say it at the request of the boss at that time.

I would say some people are just sick, my Ramona had no Life Insurance nor did I, I still have none. Has this board come to the point that you all have nothing better to do than sit around and make sick stuff up? That's just sad because at one point it used to be fun in here, a little rough at times but fun most of the time, that's why I liked it, I don't mind jabs, as a Public person you have to get used to that but this mean spirited personal and Family stuff is too much, at this point I may not be back for some time, to those few who had nice things to say....thank you, for the others.... ...

They should just re-broadcast Art's shows...

They re-broadcast now for many of the tele-evangelists that have died. Many years ago.

So many of these 20-year old shows are still pertinent to modern times.  Somewhere in Time is remarkable... No other show could hold up like it does.

Friends.....Lets keep things  in perspective here for a minute

John mcaffee is 72 going on 73.   He bangs escorts, does coke, and is a crypto trading madman.

72 is the new 45

Art’s premature passing raises many question.   Also, what was up with this odd cohabitation agreement with his child bride and his Arapaho listerine fiend, who filed his long black hair preference.

Something fishy up in this shit ???

Word.

What motivated you to put the Gene Scott photo in one of your posts? I was about to make a reference to him, because of the situation around his death and his network not announcing it, I ended up deleting it because I didn't think too many people would know about the guy.  It was maybe an hour or two before you posted the photo.

Nice to see you, Uhura.  We were blessed to live in the time when Art Bell broadcasted.  My best to you and don't be a stranger.

"Wanna take a ride?"

"Wanna know how he died?"

I had to turn it off after a few minutes. The crazy thing is getting a little cliche now and the people who usually have that take are the straight laced ones he first mentioned who wouldn't want to stay up late listening to a radio show anyway. Still, he has to try to let us know that he's not one of those people. Oh, really?! Goodbye then! Total FAIL! :D

Art Bell has delivered his final 'Ta ta.'

He is now permanently East, West, North and South of the Rockies.

He is survived by his legion of fans and 17 cats he enjoyed fucking.

Also, a Saddam Hussein look-a-like with a serious case of radio mush-mouth.

Goodbye, Art.

Death is the one thing you couldn't flake out on.

Hi 21st. Good to see you! Too bad the realDonaldTrump is not this ‘NicerTrump’ guy.  :P

Meanwhile, it’s good to see so many folks reminiscing about Art. At Heather’s fb page however, it’s all about her “pain”. Stealing Art’s thunder (in more ways than one).
