"Jagoffs make me Stabby" - I need to get that on a bumper sticker.

Though I don't facebook, I read a post from Art Bell on his facebook page (via a link sent to me by a fellow Coastie) dated January 2013 wherein Art said he was in talks/negotiations for a new show. He also said not to get too excited about it as he was making no promises, but how could we not get excited?! So, has anyone heard anything further? I'm dying to know. Fading. Fast.
Must. Have. Art.
Heh.

One can only hope.

Well 3 years later, we have more insight and hopefully that means Art will be coming back. He stated in January of this year (2013) on a facebook (I don't facebook, I was sent the link) that although he will never return to Coast however, he does want to come back to radio but previously didn't want to go up against Coast with another station because he did not want to "tear down what he spent so long building". Now, he said it not so many words, he feels that Coast is crumbling so he no longer has a problem tearing it down. He is in talks/negotiations for a new show but has made no promises to return. Please come back Art!!! We need youuuuuuuuuu!!!!

What he said.  It also apparently had to do with not being able to reach a deal.  There's also just a little glimmer of hope that he's still open if the right deal comes along.

Putting on my tin foil conspiracy theorist hat on for a moment, I think it might go deeper than that.

Art was very vocal about them removing Somewhere In Time from the Coast line up and the general decline of Coast to Coast. Since this whole "new show" debacle Art has been very silent about all of that and Somewhere In Time is still going strong. Perhaps Art realised he didn't have a legal leg to stand on in regards to SIT or perhaps he is now receiving a cut of the SIT takings hence his silence on an issue he was very vocal about in the past.

Anyway we will never know the truth so it's all speculation.

Bring on April 2 so Fort Rock can disappear back into his hole.

It's April 2nd and we still have both April Fools, one on CG and one on the air tonight.

Unless he gets abducted by a Pizza Roll panel truck driver.

April 2 is nearly gone, and no word from the village idiot.  Shocking.

I wonder how long it will take him to make a revision of his prediction.

If he does he should be forced to change his name to Harold Camping.

I ran across this in a google search.

Damned if I know what it is.

Copycats ?

Says they're in Palo Alto, Ca.

Must be a conspiracy.

Here's their link for talk. Only one Snoorge station as far as I know.

http://www.tunein.com/radio/Spoken-g2/

By the way, I used to have this great little AM/FM/SW radio by Phillips. It stopped working but was fantastic and the sw stuff was cool. But what's weird is that you can get radios with AM/FM/SW or AM/FM/Weather or even AM/FM/Ham but no one makes them with all 3 not even CCrane. I wonder why that is.

I want a good one that I can clamp to the handlebars of my bicycle so I can listen to sports when I go riding or shopping.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I clicked on the first link. It says that the station is located in Scottsdale, AZ. I don't see Palo Alto, CA on the webpage at all.

I doubt it's a conspiracy. I would guess that the creator of coastgab probably set up an internet stream link on tunein.com to use at some point in the future or perhaps used in the past, but they aren't currently streaming in real-time.

I clicked on their contact page and it says they're in Palo Alto and even have a small Google map on the page.

I think you misunderstand. Yes, the hosting site, tunein.com, is located in Palo Alto, CA. However, the station page on the section of their site you found for coastgab says that the coastgab stream is located in Scottsdale, AZ. This may be where the server for this website that we are on now is located. My point is that tunein.com is a legitimate streaming site that hosts on-line radio stations/internet streamers throughout the country. All I'm saying is that I don't believe you have found a fake site. Coastgab probably was going to stream radio content at some point in the past or in the future on tunein.com.

Falkie2013

My mentioning it was because I thought some skullduggery was going on and someone was trying to rip off the name of CG.

I found it by accident while looking for something about Art.

Back when CG was streaming "Art Bell" an unknown individual set up the streaming link through tunein.com on behalf of CG.  At least, that is what I remember.

McPhallus

For a while after it died, clicking on that stream in TuneIn would redirect to a BBC station.

MUTINY BY THE SCORPION ARMY:
I am now agreeing with those who think Art Bell is not returning to radio. I am sorry for the confusion that my sources, the Scorpion Army, and Myself have caused. I am Facebook Friends with one of Art's Regular Guests, Dannion Brinkley (who saved my life when I needed it) told me about some conduct on the part of Art that I cannot subborn. If your not a Facebook Friend of Art, and try to Facebook Message him, Facebook is charging you $15.00 to do such. Did you know that Art is getting a $10.00 kickback from Facebook for those messages? Here's a replacement show for Coast that I do support at the present time. Have any of you heard of a show being broadcast from Midnight to 2AM Mountain Time called "Fringe Radio". It's broadcast by Salt Lake City, Utah station KTKK 630AM. It streams FREE online and has a show archive. They have all of the guests you miss from the Art Bell days on Coast!! Here are some Fringe Radio links:

Really?  Is this another one of the Stinger's Scorpion Locks of the Week?  What next, UCLA will win the Final Four?  St Louis Browns make a comeback and win the World Series?  Kim Jong Un becomes a Pacifist? How much does the Stinger make for name dropping has-been guests of the program, I wonder?

" I am Facebook Friends with one of Art's Regular Guests, Dannion Brinkley (who saved my life when I needed it) told me about some conduct on the part of Art that I cannot subborn. "

1) Do you really THINK that any of us would accept any recommendation that YOU would make after you promulgated a hoax on here ?

2) There is NO such word as subborn.

3) If you're going to make unsubstantiated and unconfirmed character assassination posts about Art, either show proof or shut up. He's had quite enough of that kind of bullshit to deal with over the years.

Dannion Brinkley's written to me over the years yet * I * don't make a claim that he's a special friend or any similar stuff such as that.

Your veracity and credibility is questionable at best.

Your track record on here shows that.

You're a poseur who wants to be noticed.

Me, I wouldn't trust you to tell me what time it is.

Although I can respect your opinion, I for one cannot subborn your point of view.

I caught Somewhere in Time with Art Bell on AM 600 KOGO this Saturday night here in Los Angeles. I thought for some reason the old Art Bell C2C program was no longer being aired on radio, but this is a pleasant surprise.

but you were so sure about the ritualistically posed photo.  oh well ... i'm sure everyone here is as tired of your nonsense as i am.  but you're quasi entertaining so ... there's that
