H'mm. Just noticed on Art's Facebook that all of his recent posts and comments about his recent hospital stay have been removed. I wonder what's up?

Did any do some digging on this? Again, I haven't a FB acct. So, anyone?

Days of building anticipation long gone. Art's Tarts still had not been constituted. People still liked (Redacted). Art still smoked too much. Hoagland was an idiot. Everybody's biggest bitch was that they could only use PayPal to sign up. Trump would never make it to New Hampshire.
What a ride.  :-[

The ride down to a dead stop was a bummer.

Sadly, agreed; at least in it's present form.

God DAMN, I LOVE your 1974 Gene Simmons avatar!!

Yes, MitD has died a sorrowful death, along with this place!  Where is everyone? Jeez!  I mean, I'm actually missing Ciardelo and that interesting Brit Sredni for crying out loud!

This should be the "Heather Bell" thread.

INDEED!

You know, when that cat was let out of the bag I laughed and laughed! Like Faster Pussycat said: "With a slip of the tongue I'm in deep shit!" Lol!

I always wondered why Art was pushing her in the first MitD show. I was put off by her immediately as I've listened to talk radio for over thirty years and could hear an amateur a mile away!  Poor girl has never gotten better, even living in Pahrump with the master coaching her!

Good to see you're still around, rekcuf! One of the few, the proud....

Don't take this the wrong way, but since GravitySucks started spreading the rumour that you were dead I had hoped it was true. Not only do I feel that the 20 bucks he wangled out of me for the party have been wasted, but I put good money on you in the BellGab dead pool. If my small covering bet on MV doesn't come through I am going to have to start taking in washing to make ends meet. At least Dan Quayle can breathe a sigh of relief, because he was worrying that if you took the dirt nap he'd be left as Indiana's  Dumbest Bastard.

Art's Tarts, like any mouldy pastry, is now stuck at the back of the shelf covered in cobwebs. it's been heavily discounted but still they can't shift them.

Opinions vary. Most  people thought she was a brown-nosing psycho bitch even back then, but they didn't want to say.

I know that's not the preferred cylindrical object you like to have in your mouth, but cut the guy a break fer chrissake!

Ah, I knew I could rely on you! Laughing out loud!

Please look up Andre Carson, he's the inner-city Indianapolis representative to the US House of Representatives. A far dumber bastard than I'll ever hope to be! 😉

Absolutely! Most bands are better when they are hungry and unknown, especially KISS, who blew everyone off the stage when they were an opening act back in 1973-'75!

The Beatles, The Stones, The Who, Zep, Cheap Trick, hell, even Green Day and Foo Fighters (among many others) were unbelievable when they were hungry and unsigned....

BOBO! Are you still stinking up this place? Haven't you realized we know who you are and couldn't give a flying fuck about your lame attempts at humor?  If we want to laugh at something we'll wait for Sredni to post, fer chrissakes!

Just kidding Sred!

Nothing new here, Art has always regularly scrubbed out old posts just like many other FB users.

Well, duh?  Simple explanation:  You gotta work hard to make yourself known and get signed.  After that you're just there for a paycheck and to fulfill your ego along with the contractual obligations with the record deal, which is why so many bands/artists end up putting out total shit in their later years.

Ah yes, the story of Noory.

Even worse... Noory has no viable competition.

The guy is just on autopilot now, it's become bad beyond words.

What a difference a year makes.

I hope so. That way this mess can make sense....

Why is it so hard to believe that Art picked Heather as his successor based solely on her talent and experience?

Did Girl Noory bring talent and experience to the chair that she is warming?

Before I decided to finally join the forum; I read a lot of the posts, and listened to the podcasts.
I wanted to familiarize myself with the place, people, and the whole Art situation.

From what I could surmise, Heather had little, or no experience in the radio business.
Apparently, she was a huge Art Bell fan.

When she got the job; after Art quit, it was said she got it because of some hanky panky between her and Art.
I won't comment on that; its conjecture, and frankly not my business.

In my humble opinion; only an unqualified one, what I see was an older man who was smitten with the idea of a younger woman's adoration.
Art wouldn't be the first, nor the last to succumb to this.
Unfortunately, this would impede Art's better judgment.
Any clear thinking person couldn't possibly expect a radio host of Art's calibre, to be replaced by someone with little or no experience.

What we have now, is a lot of disappointed people.
People disappointed that Art quit, and disappointed with a new host that just can't seem to fill the seat.

I don't want to appear mean or disrespectful to Art, or Heather by posting this.
This is only my personal opinion; we all have one.

Heather did the first test show with Art and there was some talk of her being on the show with him as a duo. Fans flipped out about it because no one wanted Heather they wanted Art. I think Heather has been living in Art's cuck shed since at least the beginning of midnight in the desert and still currently lives there.
