So is Alex Jones really Bill hicks?

I've heard that conspiracy theory  ;D

I doubt it. Alex is usually only unintentionally funny. Hicks was a definitely more of a comedy mastermind.  ;)

Unless this has just been a 23 year long bit  :o

I've never seen that stuff...where do I start?

The scary thing with Cooper is when you start researching what he's talking about, he's frighteningly on point about things.

was this theory before or after the X-Files movie?

I've never seen the X-Files. This book was written in 1997

From almost day-one there were conspiracy theories. To put on a non-conspiracy hat, mainly, I think, because the handling and conflicting news and government information given out and the previous incidents and rhetoric concerning Waco's handling, Randy Weaver's family, and various other incidents. Art had some good shows during the immediate post-OKC days.

I've mentioned this around BG and some Bill Hicks fans got REALLY pissed. But if you look at the ranting style, their face, both from Texas, their cynicism of the government control matrix, etc?  ;) It would be an epic move. Almost as good as was Andy Kaufman becoming a wrestler: was it real or not? (and faking his death later.)  ;)

;D Bill Hicks is very close to being a Christ like figure in my life. I love the theory. I did used to think they sounded exactly alike and they both were in the same place at the same time a lot.

I'm not saying it is true, but would be epic, of course, but a few years back Alex did some live shows and sort of stand-up even before some screening of his movies and with some celebrity (I think that guy who does MMA and into weed?) and he can rant, they look alike, they are both cynical, both from Texas, so...?  ;)

Alex is looking a bit haggard for 41.....

I didn't believe it when I first heard it years ago.  But His sudden aging is making me rethink it all.   You can pull off a younger age until a certain point, and he's hit that point.

He's friends with Joe Rogan, who's podcast is often very good, BTW.  ;)

Oh, ok..."Fight the Future" was 1998...I bet they got a lot of the story line from this book! Fascinating...

They literally had the same contacts, at the same time, but were never in the same room.  That doesn't happen unless you are Clark Kent (or Bill Lear....)

I get the similarities but their voices just sound fundamentally different to me. Bill's was a bit higer and not quite as throaty as Alex's. Couldn't someone do a voice match analysis of them? This should give you some reasonable indication of whether it's the same guy or not.

Of course the stress and costs of a bitter divorce and subsequent division of property and child custody issues can age a person- and even over-come supplements! But, if it happened to be true, it would be one of the greatest, epic stunts in history! And we would have Bill Hicks back also.

From what I understand Bill Hicks and his creative partner started the production company Alex Jones works under as well which is incredible when you think about it.

I don't know more about it than a few paragraphs I've read here and there but this theory is up there with the Moon Landing directed by Kubrick for me.

Alex appears to have a bit of a gap between his two top front teeth and Bill doesn't seem to.  ???

Also, Bill's chin comes to more of a point than Alex's.  ;)

There are some vids of alex doing some candid stuff or at the studios you are speaking of, and there were some alleged "hints" and inside jokes that are explained by people that were close to the topic.

It gets really creepy when they start to look at the early videos and pictures of what is supposedly the real Alex Jones, and you begin to realize that  some of Alex's traits are missing from the modern Alex.

I won't deny that there are similarities but that's the easy part because our brains are good at picking out patterns. However, there are also differences too and I can find almost as many of them as similarities. Bill's nose is a little more up-turned whereas Alex's appears slightly down-turned, etc.

I still think my Jim Leyland/HarryDeanStanton theory has a more photographical basis. But enjoy the AJ/BH theory also. I know about the similarities in style and even content and the production company stuff but I wonder on the legal side. Need to look into that. Now after the divorce and big properties there might be more publicly available sources....
ps: another conspiracy guy, though more on the Christian/anti-NewAge side, Texe Marrs (no relation to Jim) lives near me and has a nice spread also and in a VERY expensive part of town (well outside city limits but no longer country.) Central Texas breeds, or attracts, some odd types.

This is the one that blew my mind.
