+1 to this. This forum used to be the place for intelligent conversation. The wackcos filled the C2C forums. I guess they've migrated here.

A lot of aggravation and frustration could be avoided if the "Art Bell" thread was divided into two sub-threads, a pro-Bell thread and an anti-Bell thread.

Each sub-thread could be moderated by a volunteer 'gabber who is unequivocal in his/her thoughts on Art, with posts outside the individual sub-thread's obvious position being subject to immediate deletion.  Repeated deleted posts could lead to posters being bounced from Bellgab.

As a public service, I will take the liberty of offering titles for the sub-threads:

1) Art Bell-God's Gift to Radio, In Art We Trust
2) Art Bell-I Wouldn't Piss on that Lying Sack of Shit if He Was on Fire

Not much doubt which sub-thread espouses the pro/anti Bell beliefs, thus allowing those of similar feelings to flock together while ignoring the other side.

I'm not a radio guy (in terms of the business) but the whole set-up of DMRN DMDN seems suspect. Too little people trying to do too much, no understanding of social media (so much bad blood and in-fighting posted everywhere,) relying on PayPal only, technical issues not resolved before going live, and sabotaging the whole operation when they were just to get big affiliates and a listening base by the quitting for stalker/health-issues instead of already having in place some type of rotating, or back-up hosting, options. Sad because I love Art's product and can even handle Heather/Redacted when she has decent guests.

None of it makes a bit of a difference without Art Bell doing at least one show every week or two.  If he were to do that, it wouldn't matter that the rest of it is a bunch of amateurs placed in their positions because of their connection to him.

Art is insistent that every last detail must be exactly how he wants it, or no show.  Apparently that includes no professionals in any capacity.

Who are you to say he doesn't have any of these issues?
Where did I deny he has issues?

Well, if he has COPD, why was it not apparent in the interview with MV?  If it's in the very early stages, wouldn't he get a few last shows in if he loves radio so much?

I don't want to accuse him of lying about this too, but nothing he's said lately makes any sense.

Calm down Art.

:o

Fuck, how'd you find out?! Oh snap!

Yeah, real original there, man. You got me good. What, you get that from little Sandra? You her shoeshine boy or something? No matter.  I'm more amused that you aligned yourself with Falka the Hutt. Yeah, Team Falkie all the way, asswipe.  ::)

Who is he? He's a conspiracy theorist who thinks everything Art does is some elaborate master plan [yeah right, LOL] to get out of doing a fucking radio show- even when his express intent was to do a fucking radio show.  Which also explains why he keeps posting here and did the Gabcast with MV to explain himself and try to clear his name, because, you know, that makes the lie seem all the more credible, which is just what he wants you think...  ::)

Art was a heavy smoker. I'm sure he has COPD. I have a family member who has it. You don't even have to exert yourself to be out of breath. Scary shit. I imagine talking for three hours a night on the radio only exacerbates it.
And trying to say Art doesn't have it is silly and makes you look like a fool. Smokers get COPD, Art isn't immune from it.

Where is this COPD thing coming from?

What do you mean? Art recently said he has COPD, folks are saying he doesn't. Internet doctors I guess. But COPD is a hell of a reason to quit. I imagine he didn't bring it up because sharing personal medical shit with complete strangers isn't usually the first thing on people's agendas. Well, except for Falkie.

First people are trying to kill him now he's got illnesses.

Muh illness!

BellGab is full of unhealthy people.

Art's got illnesses, Heather is disabled, Falkie isn't doing too well.

(Nice to see you Falkie by the way)

What's wrong with Heather? (illness wise)

I don't know but she was on disability in section eight housing before Art discovered her... talent.

Someone who's more in tune with it can probably dredge up her quotes on here talking about it.

George Noory Sucks.  He's fear mongering on me.  Dammit.  I am disabled.  Rawrrr.  Have the scars to prove it too if he wants to see em.  Less than five minutes from ecstatic joy (Dark Matter) to confusion, fear, and anger (C2C).  SSDI, it's money put back in case of an emergency!  Pisses me off when they go after the disabled/elderly.  I don't vote for anyone.  Wait... this is politics!?!

C2C is in total ruin.

Yeah, ok, I see both of your points, then.  I put myself in the place of a driver, if I was going along, and someone mindlessly attempts crossing traffic, man, I'd be scared of accidentally hitting them!  Which is a whole heap of P.I.T.A. that no one needs.  I see what you're saying & have to agree:  that is a fucktard thing to do.

Especially when people are going way too fast to be able to stop in time.

I am not obviously disabled.  From a distance, I look fine, if a little slow.  But!  I know I am slow, and will abso-m'f'n-lutely not slow other people's day down because of it.  It is so easy to just rest, and wait until the coast is clear.

Either way, it annoys the hell out of me that other pedestrians are dicks and make us all look bad.
We're just trying to get where we need to go (walkers & drivers); assholes on the sidewalk or the street annoy us all I guess.

Speaking of annoying, I swear to god it sounds like the people who just moved in next door are constantly beating up their couch.  Wtf?  Never heard anything next door for years until this couple moves in... and *boom* *bang* *boom* every half hour!  Through the wee hours of the night too!  They never sleep, they just beat that couch into submission all the time, ha haa.  Poor couch.

Moving is annoying.  But, since the Couch Beaters moved here, I am way beyond glad to be out of this place.  Fuck.  It's gonna hurt like hell, and (there was another *boom*) I may not be able to walk for three or four days after, but it will be so worth (*boom*) it.  Not looking for sympathy, just ranting.  I have it all planned out to the last detail, have no problem taking care of business, but jeezuz fuck, sometimes it's all too much! (*boom*)

Who beats a couch anyway?

(I may need to rant more later on, lol.)

Dudes, I don't know about everyone else, but I cross the street a bit slower because I am disabled and every step I take is pain.  They glare at me like the devil.  Well, I am sorry, I am going as fast as I can.  I am not trying to "make you wait", I am just trying to get home alive with my food.  Try walking while having constant stomach pain to do everything you have to do, in the 100 degree heat, and see how fast you walk.

I'd never cross on a green light, though.  That is a messed up thing to do.

coaster

Freaky. Now I'm just imagining someone moving in slow motion. Like a sloth. and..now I'm scared.

Every step is pain, huh? Every show is pain...

Well keep in mind this is when she was working the government and johns to make a living. Now she's working Art and Art's fan base so she's probably fine now.

LOL. Exactly. People don't like revealing big weaknesses, generally. Doesn't mean they won't [at least eventually, like when they feel they have no choice] but it goes against the grain. It's a pride thing...

... unless you're Falkie.  ;)

Art is busy being Donald Trumps campaign advisor. Pivot! Pivot, I say! By gum, we'll have this race won by sundown!
