Art is telepathically linked to his "stalker" and has determined that radio commercial spots are fine, but being on the air live isn't, except whenever Art wants to fill in.(This is what gullible tards actually believe.)

Don't forget according to Art, an unidentified, unknown man was on his property a few days after supposedly receiving a death threat, skulking around his windows, and that Art didn't call the police until the next day at 3:30pm.

But, but, but muh stalker.

You keep repeating the same thing. All due respect but you've been saying that for a while.

Its been fun Ballgaggers- Some interesting and intelligent posters here (even some who opposed me) and some real idiots as well. Wish this thing wouldnt have played out as quickly as it did but sometimes that happens when the fire is burning this hot.
Well, I sent you a PM, and I know this will not make me popular among some people... But well played.  Aside from questioning Bell (the main flamebait) you pretty much avoided getting personal.  As somebody who somewhat enjoys watching people, reactions, and emotions, it was interesting to see people continue to engage you even after you declared yourself a troll.  (Though I suppose that I did as well- but for a very different reason.)

We will see you in a few years (please keep the same screen name next time so as to avoid confusion.)  Also, do everybody a favour and arrive faster next time- emotions were already dying down by the time you made it here.

Quote from: The King of Kings on January 03, 2016, 09:26:17 AMA neighbor calls the police because they believe they heard gunshots and then a car drive away, yet didn't see anything.
No, the neighbor saw the car drive away.  A fresh beer was found in the vicinity.
QuoteThe only person in this neighborhood to hear these gunshots seems to have been this one unique neighbor.

Art's wife didn't hear them.
How do you know either of those things?
QuoteA month goes by and nothing happens until he gets a threatening phone call from a "blocked" call.  Art doesn't want to pursue this crime against him though.  Even now he insists in not going after the person who threatened death on himself and his family.
How do you know Art doesn't want to pursue it?  What do you mean, "insists on not going after"?  What do you suggest that he would be capable of doing, and that he would be wise to reveal publicly?
QuoteIf you are a celebrity radio host who deals in the paranormal, who maybe is already on guard due to your own celebrity and the types of fans you might have based on your work, suddenly experience mysterious gunshots in your rural neighborhood, and then a death threat, I just don't see how you would wait till the late afternoon of the following day to report an unknown and unidentified man on your property skulking about the windows.  Any reasonable person, especially with a spouse and their child in the home would have called the police immediately.
To what end, when you saw the person leave?  You think there's a cop on his corner he could blow a whistle for?

We had a break-in attempt here one night.  Apparently the person who broke the window ran off after I came out & tripped the motion detector to light the light.  Police weren't called until the next day.  And that's here in the Bronx, where the police station is just a few blocks away.  Of course there was nothing they could do about it but look around & ask me questions when they came, except possibly to get us for some violation.
QuoteI honestly don't understand Art's behavior.

Even his behavior here.  He spent more time threatening a dopey forum poster over libel than against the person who called in a death threat made against his family.
What should he have done, posted a threat here for his threatener to read?

You're right, this doesn't reflect well on you. Maybe you were getting a bit of a vicarious thrill from all the troll action and reaction. If you enjoy observing people so much, there are better ways to do it than watching trolls at work and telling yourself how fascinating it all is, as a student of human nature. Sitting in a cafe and watching people go by while sipping a café au lait is not a bad place to start. Genuine trolls are bad news. No way to sugar-coat that.

Well, Cape Girardeau is sort of like a Sally Struthers country.  So click often.

Respectfully, I don't believe a syllable that comes out of the guy's mouth.

As someone said earlier in the thread, he has spent years promoting terrible products.

Don't forget he also made a lot of money selling "survival goods" during the Y2K/millennium crisis.

I'm fine with this not reflecting well on me.  I cannot be bothered to go through his entire post history- but I do not recall him heavily attacking people on a personal level (yeah, again, he said some not so nice things about Bell.)  I don't recall him attacking Heather nor saying some of the crap about her that others have.

All in all, I would say it was somewhat constructive trolling.  It was others who wanted to dox him and thought that maybe a real life physical beating would take place after that (a fairly extreme reaction to a fairly mild provocation.)

As for sitting on a sidewalk sipping cafe au lait... It just is never going to happen as I really don't get subtle human interactions.  Watching somebody come in, announce they are a troll and watch people still rise to the occasion is amazing.

I may not have thought this if he just came here and called everybody who believes Art a moron or even rehashed all the same crap that I had read for the last two weeks.  However, that was not what I got out of it.  Oh, and I still do believe that Art is probably telling the truth... That does not mean that I cannot enjoy somebody disagreeing in a novel way...

Conservatives generally do not resort to the hateful vitriol and personal attacks that those on the left do.  But this is not the politics thread, so I will leave it at that.

Are you kidding me? The amount of vitriol thrown at Hillary over the years has been absurd. Lets not forget how Chelsea used to be attacked. Attack, whatever, but don't claim your side is morally superior with your attacks because that simply isn't true.

I am not saying the left doesn't make personal attacks I am just saying the right does just as much.

Watching somebody come in, announce they are a troll and watch people still rise to the occasion is amazing.

I'd argue that the reaction served two functions you aren't considering:

1.  Making sure that when Art saw posts designed to hurt him he also saw an appropriate, angry response.  I think he deserved that.
2.  Enforcing a behavioral standard for this forum.  Before you guys all laugh, look at the juvenile, crass humor posted elsewhere.  There was an age when I found that sort of race-to-the-bottom humor funny but, if I encountered it here regularly, I'd go, and so would all the nice people.  I've repeatedly, and gratifyingly, seen baiting references to that subject matter pass without comment here, even from Art's harshest critics.  It isn't tolerated.

Not only is Paul Ryan a Rush fan, but so is Rand Paul.  And former Ayn Rand lover Neil Peart doesn't like Rand Paul either, and will "only vote Democratic."

Agree to disagree, once again, this is not the politics thread. If it were, I might discuss it.  Go look at my comments in the Bernie Sanders thread. There are no personal attacks there.
