Point taken, but it seems it's that or politics.  So:

Art's broadcasted statements about the stalker, especially ones made during the incidents as they are happening, constitute a separate narrative from the police reports and might contain inconsistencies.  Why have we read no analysis of this?

If this is a complete fabrication, why did he pick those particular shows to interrupt?  Were they major guests to grip the most listeners with a compelling, on-air experience, predisposing them to accept the tale?

What about the curious part where Art told us about the intruder kneeling down by a window, was off the air the next day, and then came back and seemed to forget he'd already told us the story?  Is this a practiced liar or a man muddle-headed by stress?

For a conspiracy theory, this one is being advanced in an alarmingly desultory fashion completely unworthy of the man.

Arthur William "Art" Bell, III (born June 17, 1945) is an American broadcaster and author known as one of the founders and the original host of the paranormal-themed radio program Coast to Coast AM.[3] He also created and formerly hosted its companion show Dreamland. It was Arts decision to put Heather in, it was also his decision to leave many times, if you dont like it WHY do you even follow?
People create drama just for the sake of drama, if i dont like to listen to something i DON'T LISTEN.
FFS i was pissed off when some bands broke up or got new members but if i didn't like the new members i just didn't listen.
I dont really understand what all the fuss is about, you have 100's of other podcasts like Arts now, if he doesn't want to do it anymore fine.

The biggest issue for me is the lack of honesty around it all. It also has doomed both the network and show to death, which is something that will very much affect Keith and even Heather to some extent.
Since Art is a smart guy he knows very well that this decision would lead the collapse of both and yet he did not even put any effort into at least being a temp host at random week days. This would solve the issue he claims with giving out the schedule to this "stalker" and would also keep at least some of the affiliates happy for a while giving Heather the chance to show if she has the talent.

Heard about a thing called OPINIONS before? Most people have not stated that he is lying as a matter of fact, but instead most are speculating about it and maybe believing there is some untruths.
I myself am not even beliving he is fully lying, but what I do believe is that he has exaggerated about the stalker and used it as a excuse to quit.
He has nearly quit over much smaller matters in the past and has a history of doing this all throughout his career and on top of that it was obvious that he got more and more cranky and less enthusiastic as MITD went on just like what happened every other time just before he quit.

If he actually really wanted to continue the show like you think, then why did he not try to find a solution?? Why did he not hire security?? Why did he not just do it part time to at least keep the show and network going to let Heather develop as a host?? He claimed after he first announced that he quit that he could do it part time, so why did he not do that from the start when it was needed the most??

Well, let's break this down a little. The idea of Hiilary as commander-in-chief is scary under any circumstances. That aside, going toe-toe with the Russians, when necessary and when it's in our national security interest, is something we've done a number of times in the past -- mostly during the Cold War when they were a much bigger threat.

This is also a scary scenario, of course, but with the right leadership, it may at some point be not only necessary but advisable. (Also, it doesn't have to mean one side shooting directly at the other, but Gary Powers would tell you that it happens.) Is Syria the place this may need to happen? Hopefully not, but presidents always need to keep their powder dry.
