as in keith rowland.
I'm not the most educated in this stuff, admittedly. What got me excited about this is every time I would check just for shits www.artbell.com, the browser would stop almost instantly after entering the address. "Web page not found".

Today, or now, I'm getting "Unable to connect to page" and the browser icon just sits there and spins and spins, trying to find it. What does this mean exactly? Does this mean Rowland may be working on the original domain?

morphiaflow

Yeah but to equate Noory with Squire would be unfair to Squire. I even like Rabin and Horn. Maybe Kaye. Yeah, let's say Noory is Kaye.

Saw the Union tour btw. Only rock concert I've ever fallen asleep at.

False Flag being his trademarked specialty. To be used to greatest effect in the immediate aftermath of a deplorable atrocity. John B never worries about being "too soon" with his inappropriate brain droppings. I'm sure tomorrow night will give us a false flag special, probably the Embassy bombing in Turkey being fodder.

Alex Jones. Now there's somebody who will stick with Noory. Turds of feather.

brain droppings managed to give me images so vivid that the droppings included massive amounts of viscous mucus in that the listeners of that kind of... uh... crap can't lap it up fast enough.  8)

Actually, After I got home from work a had  time to check some things out.

I did a DNS probagation check..and there is not even one root server around with any DNS records for artbell.com
what this means is that no one has tied an IP address to artbell.com.
what I was getting earlier might have been default redirectors for websearch engines or something of that sort or some malicius attempts to inject false DNS records. Too tired to care at this point.
All I hope is that the "deal" goes down soon.
After all this crazy speculation over new formats, time slots, number music, personnel etc. It will be fun to see what the actuality us in hindsight and how far off or on the mark we  were.

Agreed, Noory is Kaye. The weak link in the chain in all lineups(even Moraz was better). Chris Squire does deserve better overall than a comparison to Noory.

Only vats of industrial strength concoctions can even begin to clean up the mess Noory/Wells make. Winston Wolf would reject this endeavor.

Scenario: Art's new show destroys Coast in the ratings, Noory's out of a job, and then we will get a new show..."Brain Droppings" hosted by John B. Wells

And maybe Tony Kaye can do the theme song.

That's a good question and one that I've thought about. Leaving aside the fact that Art might want to go in a different direction, or that if he DID use it Premiere might try to make the case that he's causing "confusion in the marketplace", I think that any recorded music is up for grabs to any broadcaster as long as they pay the appropriate licensing and use fees. Thus I'm pretty sure the bumper music, at the very least, will be similar to what Art used to use. And I'm positive we'll hear Crystal Gayle's "Midnight in the Desert" again, since none of the other C2C hosts use it.

Personally I'd recommend he use "Mystic Rhythms" by Rush...that might not be a bad show title, either. "Mystic Rhythms with Art Bell". Hey Art, ya' readin' this? :)
"The Spirit of Radio" would be nice. edited with no vocals

Even he deserves better than that. Noory's new theme should be by somebody, like the people who gave us "The Curly Shuffle", "Rappin' Rodney"(the concept, not Mr Dangerfield) or "Pac Man Fever"

There is also a huge amount of bullshit and insults directed at Art and his c2c show. The writer of this piece is a hack and Art would be furious if he saw it.
I cannot imagine somebody who has been in the spotlight as Art has really caring.  It does not say that he chops up dead hookers in his spare time- just some personal opinions of the writer about Coast and Art going decades back.  There are a few snippets of events in Arts life that may not be flattering (or, possibly even accurate); but again, I cannot imagine a public personality giving a rip.

I actually read the article expecting that they would at least pull up some crap accusations against Art (that I will not even bother repeating here) but nothing... Nothing at all to get worked up over and get ticked with somebody for posting a link.

Jump N The Saddle Band, I have no idea, and Buckner & Garcia.

*edit: JB Moore and Robert Ford Jr who also wrote "The Breaks" for Kurtis Blow. Ok, I had to look that one up, but I knew the other two off the top of my head. And now I have "Rappin' Rodney" stuck in that selfsame head. thanks man.

So anyone who has a problem with it now? Laura? Suck it.

Now THAT is funny!  I guess I should have finished reading the thread before posting.  I have a really tough time seeing a problem with the article that required all of the discussion.  I seems to say that in the glory days Coast was a good show for what it was, attracted the smart and the gullible (which it did) and ends by saying People hungry for "Weird Twitter" could do worse than to sit in their car at 2 a.m. listening to the now-67-year-old Art Bell scare the living crap out of them.

67% of those songs entering the top 40...and we can't even blame Noory. He was on the high seas serving our country, valiantly, in that era.
I have the "Rappin Rodney" video playing in my mind's eye. It's times like this where I look forward to dementia.

It's amazing to see all the histrionics and drama going on here and on FB since the "return" announcement.  Some take the show and subject way more seriously than AB ever did.  It's late night entertainment people!

Funny, I was thinking "Demento".

And yes, well, I may have contributed to the histrionics a bit...but really I was just reacting....

Kinda sad,but Dr Demento doesn't have an terrestrial outlet anymore...while, nitwit Noory still does.

NOTES FROM THE FIELD (A SCORPION ARMY JOURNAL ENTRY)
With all of this discussion about Keith Rowland becoming active once more with the Art Bell Website, the following development is quite interesting. Back in early October of 2012 I sent an email to Art's "Scotty", just checking if he'd heard anything about an Art Bell return to the airwaves. Then about 2 weeks ago I got a reply for the email I sent him WAY BACK IN OCTOBER. His reply was short and sweet, saying that "Art's Non-Compete had come to an end"! That was it, no color or explaination, AND he acted hurried in his reply to me.

I also have this note from a fellow Star Trek Fan Community Leader in the Pahrump, Nevada area. In a phone conversation he said that he'd seen Whitley Strieber and his Wife Anne (we're both long-time Strieber Fans) going in and out of restaurants in the Pahrump area over the last week. In addition two other points; George Knapp has not appeared on TV Newscasts of KLAS-TV 8 Las Vegas for the last week, AND he may have seen a woman looking vaguely like Linda Moulton-Howe in a Pahrump Starbucks he frequents. There MAY be a Summit Planning Conclave going on at the Art Bell home! Things are becoming decidedly unhealthy for George Noory's professional life!

RAGE ON SCORPION ARMY!!!

Fort Rock, you absurd pumpkin head, when you aren't posting borscht recipes, you sometimes manage to remind one of the faint echo of a good Art Bell show - intellectually, I don't buy a damn word you say, but in my heart, I want to believe!

Hallelujah bro'. ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑↑

To be honest, I'm not even sure why this thread exists. Art Bell does not have a new show, yet there are (currently) 321 posts about something which does not yet exist. While my best guess would be there is a substantially greater likelihood that Art Bell will have a new show someday, this could be months, maybe many months away. For now, I'll stick with known quantities like the George Noory Sucks! thread, because he does, or Art Bell Quits Coast thread because he did.

It is cool that any search of the words "scorpion" or "army" will inevitably lead back to CG. This shit be blowin' up, yo!

The Bigfoot Brigade and Paranormal Society of Pahrump Nevada has just report in.  A siting has been confirmed of a large figure with huge eyes, with binoculars around their neck, straining to catch the site of a moving Bell.  This is not Dreamland.

Report live Sunday night with Knapp back from vacation, and Ms. Howe will report on the high strangeness next month on her monthly appearance on Coast.

Stay tuned updates on the Crypto will be posted as verified.

I have one question, I know we're all Scorpion Army Buddies here, so I just wonder. This site has two Generals, which is very cool! But why arn't there any Admirals? Just wondering!

My Akron source tells me they are there to open a theme Casino/Brothel based on a fictional character named Col. Mike Mallory who recently returned from a baby seal clubbing expediton to Newfoundland..
