Would someone be good enough to briefly explain what's going on with Hoagland and what's behind Art's post?  Thanks.

Dick was a dick. He slowly stopped being a dick. People subscribed. He suddenly became a dick again and a bunch of people cancelled. Last night he emasculated himself. A bunch of people must have  voiced their concerns to Art. Art responded that he tried but cant fix a dick.

It all started when he didn't wish me a Happy Birthday....

Very short version is the Richard we all fell in love with, due to his show being really great fun for a few months thanks to Rossy, was an illusion. He's really a mean insane egomaniac that treats people like crap. Last night, for example, he accused his listeners of stealing his bandwidth. His show, which was once great, is now a horrible joke that is simply 2 hours of private phone conversations with his friends and family. His new producer does nothing except co-host and creep on  frequent Art Bell caller, Michelle.

I guess I need to say something about the email and messages I have been getting about RCH. I did everything I could to help him in every way possible, including getting a loan of expensive gear from Telos to transmit his show to the Network. I found Rossy for him. I gave him the best advice I could muster up on how to proceed. I provided help in more ways then I will try to detail here.

I am sad that events have unfolded as they have. I am not going to discuss specifics but will say that we are currently not in communication nor have we been for some time now. Sometimes you think you know somebody and then find out you never really did, just sad. Please understand that I do not run the Network, I just do my show.

Thanks for letting us know what's going on, Art.  I'm still recovering mentally from last night's...whatever it was that Richard did with the meth addict singer.  The sooner he's gone from the network the better.

You, however, have been doing gangbusters.  Last night's Open Lines show was classic!

It sure would be nice to have MITD for four hours...just saying!

I see.  Well, I must say I never thought of him as anything other than an insane egomaniac, his actions on his last C2C appearance cemented that opinion.  I've never listened to his current show because he's a lunatic.

Most nights I download the mp3 link and just let it run through. hoagland has been counting me as a listener for ever and I could give a shit about his show. Recently, it's being cut off after Art's show, and for the better!

I bet their are a good amount of people who only listen to Hoagland because of the live thread. Now hoagland is going to be down in the Leo Ashcraft ratings (less than 20 people)

Thank you Art for this message, I am sure it helped clear up a lot of stuff for people that were unsure of what had happened.

So, everyone, please remember what Art said, he isn't the one in charge of the network and he isn't the one to be sending emails to if you're unhappy with what's been happening with Rch.

I think this whole situation just proves that without a good producer, your show is going to be shit. Art has Heather, and the show is fantastic. Ross was the engine that drove Hoagland's show, and without him, Hoagland's show is garbage. Hoagland wouldn't know a good thing if it bit him on his ass.

Art and Keith,

I just wanted to let you know that today I cancelled my subscription to The Other Side of Midnight.

I initially signed up as a subscriber to assist the new and growing network and to support Art. I would have done this no matter who the host was. When Richard was announced I was happy as I always enjoyed his segments on your old shows. Richard is Richard and I never could see the things he was claiming was in the photographs but I always wanted to believe that what Richard saw was really there.

I was thrilled when I heard that another one of our own had been tapped to be Richard's producer. I only ever listen to a handful of shows during that time but I was growing to like Richard and his style. I was also enjoying the energy and guests that Rossy was bringing to the show. The live chats at that time were vibrant and fun too. The timing of the show was not ideal for me as it was cutting into family time. I only got to listen to a few of the shows on the podcast as I already have a full book catching up on MITD shows I may have missed as well as a variety of other unrelated podcasts that I enjoy for free.

Having said that I was still happy to spend the $5 a month to assist you and the network.

When the Rossy incident occurred I was fully prepared to dump my subscription but I decided to keep it despite not having listened to any of his shows since then. I kept the subscription going for you and for Keith and for Heather as I have a great relationship with all three of you.

After your post today Art I have decided not to continue paying for Richard's show. I do not listen and everything I have heard about Richard from a professional and now a personal level doesn't sound great and I think my money would be better off elsewhere.

I would still like my money to go towards your show and the network. I can afford it and i get countless hours of pleasure from the show. You, Keith and Heather deserve it.

Is there some way that I can add an extra $5 to my subscription or donate $5 extra a month or even gift someone else a subscription?

I do not want the network to suffer from my withdrawal of support.
