3. Jaz is forbidden from calling

I would like to hear an Australian ghost story.  I imagine that since the astral plane is flat (being a plane) while the earth is round, ghosts down there hang upside down by their feet like bats.

That's how I picture Jaz.

3 should be a permanent rule.  8)

The highlight for me will be Art's annual rant about changing the clocks.

Also Art, if you're reading this, if GIS in on, please play the EVP first before having them tell us what they think it is. They can set the scene but let us hear it first.

You make a good point there, Ping.  It would be kind of fun if Art played a GIS recording and then let us listeners worm hole what we think was said.  Then Art could pick the best (or funniest) responses and read them on the air.

Dead Air is a great name for the Halloween show. Good one Art!

phrodo

Three hours of dead air has to be a first in the history of broadcasting.

James Burke of "Connections"  fame would blow Tyson out of the water.

Dig it. My absolute 2 all-time favorite and inspirational shows remain James Burke's "Connections"  and "The Day the Universe Changed".

I've been listening to a 97 Ghost to Ghost to get me ready  :)

I think that's the one I listened to a week or two ago.  Pretty spooky story with a mother, her son, and a dead body.

Art's comment to a caller on Wed night's show regarding the GIS might indicate he plans on having them on tonight for part of the show in addition to caller ghost stories?

Time for the Saturday post.

Tonight starting at 8PM Central until Midnight Central ( Thats 6 to 10pm Pacific for you guys in Rio Linda ) on http://ksyl.com is: Art Bell: Somewhere in Time. Where Art returns to 4/30/96 when Philadelphia Experiment expert Marshall Barnes discussed evidence to suggest the experiment was indeed real and how it delved into the world of invisibility.

http://ksyl.com has a live stream listed on their page and they can also be found on Tune-in.
If you are local to NW Louisiana or if the propagation is right, you can hear them on 970AM,
I do not know if the show is in the archive. Jazmunda might have the info on that. However from past info, these may be the "new" classics and may not be in the archive.

For those of you with a bent for nostalgia, from 6pm to 8pm Central, ksyl plays When Radio Was, with old radio shows from the time when "Radio was King!"

Also go to Youtube and "like" all the videos! Help us trend! http://youtube.com/artbell51

Remember "Theres Magic in the Static"

Thanks for all of your concerns. 2 weeks from now will tell. Now back to Art!

I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal.  Stuff like that scares me more than Halloween pranksters, EVPs, and alien abductions, especially when I think of being helpless while it happens to someone else.

Wow! This is the first episode I ever heard of Art Bell whilst driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco.

Only 50 minutes of this show currently exists in the archive making this an important site for collectors. Thanks C2CAM.

What's happening with Art's Facebook page?  It looks like there's a flame war or something going on with the commenters.

where? only thing i see are a lot of people sucking up and a few complaints about certain shows..of course i am tired and may have missed something lol

coaster

There isn't a flame war. Someone said Art lied about the show and everything associated with it being free. And the show evidently belonged to the listeners (?) And people are correcting the idiot. That's all it is.

Ah, okay.  Man, people will bitch about anything.  Art's just trying to make a few dollars and people are giving him grief about it.  Dude, we have Art Bell back (and in great form the past few weeks, too - better than the SXM shows for sure).  People should just be thankful we have 5 nights a week, you know?

You forgot about the part that they gave excellent guest suggestions and have been totally ignored. A little bit off an ego from that poster. I was going to tell them to join BellGab. They would fit right in.

Yep. Usually these AM radio hosts have to die or be dragged away kicking and screaming from their jobs. We all happen to like the one AM guy that quits all the time.

Right? How quickly people forget what a barren wasteland it was just 3 1/2 months ago.
