As MV said - monoprice is good .. but so is Amazon and they ship in two days or less with Prime. And Monoprice is a vendor there .. with the same or lower prices than listed on their site.

Art - seriously .. if you need any advice or guidance -- PM me .. been there done that with regards to anything AV related. Broadcast or residential .. done it all over my - going on 40 years in the biz. It would be a privilege and honor to help you in any capacity.

So I should cancel my trip then? :P ;)

Perhaps Paul will be conducting tours of his place? :D

Dave singing? I thought that was an Elvis impersonator gone terribly wrong.

Hi all, we have been working in the Studio so not much time for getting on the board. I want to thank
Whoever did the video, it's fine its a public street, it is just one of those things that go along with being a Public person. However the property is posted and as was pointed out we are more then well armed.

I saw the Dave singing video and, no comment.

Hey there you, it would seem that the person who made the video about you, Gandlaf55, is using the word "compound" in the same sense that the mainstream media and the paparazzo use to refer to places like the Kennedy's getaway and retreat. "The Kennedy Compound", in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, is a well respected place. Also....it would seem that
"Unbuhleevahble" is an equal and  (nondiscriminating) videographer.

To make my point - consider the following.......

Art had mentioned about BellGabbers "helping" when the time was right...in what terms can we help marketing MITD?

I have a plan.

Art, is there any possibility that you and your broadcast will have a signer for the deaf and hearing impaired? I'd imagine that it would be a live video feed from your broadcast studio to a signing service's video studio. :)  Incorporate and involve a new audience...why don't you?...

Obviously it won't work for the deaf, but I like radio but you make a good point- both for access to those who are deaf, but for those 'radio' hosts who wish to stylize themselves as movie-stars.  And I reckon that Norry will hire that cat who did the "signing " for the deaf with Obama during Nelson's, funeral, in keeping with his "big events" and interviews.

Well I disagree with that. The Deaf and Hearing Impaired can and would watch the screens on their computers and other social devices with a video feed to see the signers. I don't see why their questions or comments couldn't be relayed to the Art Bell shows studio.

Some day a device similar to a notebook will be available for the Seeing Impaired too. It would operate in much the same manner as a court stenographer's machine does. The conversations would be written to a device that could be read in the same manner and format that is normally used by the Seeing Impaired. Any questions or comments would be relayed to the Art Bell studios using a service that translates the questions and comments first, then feeds them from the Seeing Impaired's studio to the Art Bell studio for question, comment, or reply . But I'd imagine that the Seeing Impaired couldn't reply so much .

One of the biggest obstacles to the Human condition is that the Blind can hear, but the Seeing can't hear...

I do not approve of derailing Art's thread with comments about me or the interview and all I want is for Art to come back on the air and give us the great brand of radio or podcast that only he can deliver and create.
Art is a national treasure and unique and Pahrump should be made a national park so he can be protected !

Why not! The "The Kennedy Compound", in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts is designated as a part of a protected historic district.

Yep. Not to mention balanced vs unbalanced, TRS, blablablabla....

This is why I'm learning how to do my own ends. Buy a cable, cut it to length, slap on whatever end is needed. Just gotta keep from inhaling solder fumes.

Now, the digital/optical cables... Those are a horse of a different color...

This is such a bitch. I spent an hour at B&H trying to find the right ones. 2 of the sales guys had to draw up diagrams to figure it out themselves.
You were at Butthurt & Haterz?

How about a medley of all of the bumper music ever used (Dancing Queen, Ride My Seesaw, etc.)?

Of course, I don't know how you would karaoke Cusco...
