And Opera Art it works also.  Some setting may need changing in IE and FF...

Aussie Dave

Using my wifey's Windows laptop it is not working using any of the browsers (IE, Firefox or Chrome).

So no go with firefox or Internet Explorer anyone else try with them?

Strange, IE11 does not like the Tunein link, but it works with the other options available on the Skylyne website.

Works for me fine. I'm using a Windows 7 machine running Chrome.

I tried a Windows 7 machine and it didn't work on Chrome.

Customer service nightmares.

Would you all try this link and tell me how many can get it and what you think it's 32AAC+  http://tunein.com/radio/Skylyne-Radio-Party-Mix-s244485/

The link spawns my Android TuneIn app, but my indicator fluctuates between 59 and 89AAC (there is no "+" appended), and my G2 connection is buffering to high heaven.

Maybe I need a newer version of TuneIn to get the 32 ACC+.

laserjock

No go error in Safari on Win 8.1 laptop...

PrairieGhost

Doesn't work on my gen1 ipad but this thing is old and I doubt very many people still use gen1 ipads.

Yes, kind of limited.  I'm using the newest version of Chrome which works fine.

According to Chrome I have the latest version. I imagine this will be a nightmare for Keith come July with every cat lady and her dog using different devices of varying OS versions and browsers with various update versions. Luckily we can assist with ironing out all the wrinkles.

At the web page, skylyneradio.com, there is no 32 ACC + option, only 64k and up.

Daggit

Somewhere out there the sound of a Sirius engineer saying "how do you like them 1001 errors now bitches" can be heard. :P

I kid cause I love.

Not working in any browser on my PC. Sounds beautiful on the iPhone using the Tunein application.

laserjock

works on old android galaxy tab 7 II.

I get an error message
Ditto.

WIN 7, PC Latest browser versions.

Fire Fux: Get an error.
Opera: Plays half speed. Freaky sounding <LULZ>.
Crome:  Plays fine. Sounds good.

laserjock

Ok, on same desktop with *correction* Safari just installed, no go error.  Desktop running win 8.1 on Intel system.

That's all the testing I can do, OLD Android Tablet works, Old iPhone 4s works, laptop and desktop PCs only Chrome and Opera work, no go on both with Safari, IE, or FF...

laserjock

Can some more of you test with Opera, IE, and Safari?

Them F-bombs soundin' crystal clear
At last... I have heard Art's new theme to MITD!!!

Yeah, it comes through loud and clear for the few minutes that I can take...

Windows 7 with chrome.  FF was a no-go and it did work with opera.  Also, my version of IE was a no-go as well.

I was going to check my 'droid with a custom OS... but it requires downloading the app and I am not quite at the point of wanting to pollute my phone with tune-in just yet...

IE11.0.96??.?????, Some older unupdated flash-player (I think, might be disabled?) PC running WIN7.  = notheeng! notheeng!

Also tried it with the VLC player thing that I listen to ufoship stuff on, (didn't know what IP to use so just threw in the url provided) = notheeng! notheeng!

Heh.  I am sure if I applied myself I could get it to work, but I am lazy.  The usual Fri & Sat night zombie horde was particularly annoying in my neighborhood this weekend.  SO I'm wanting to catch some sleep tonight.  I think the zombie horde wandered off to another part of town to feed or whatever they do, so maybe I'll get to mess with this sometime during the week, but probably not (lawn to mow &etc)...

My needs are simple though, I am sure the AAC++ or whichever sounds awesome, but I am in the tin-can-string crowd so, there you have it!

ALSO: I apologize for being such a cranky butthurt unwashed mass!  I am truly unworthy.

That is all.

Digital Radio Broadcasting question: (how is the signal modulated? by frequency or amplitude (I would think frequency considering how digital logic works, much like how modern CPU fans work)?)  BIL is about to get his HAM license and we've been talking a lot about radio of late, he's teaching me stuff, like how antennas are designed, it's part black magic!

IT'S ALL IN THE DATA! JUST LOOK AT THE ONES AND ZEROS! ;D

Dude, People here hate me enough because I string more than 20 words together, with few words hugging Arts nuts. I've derailed the topic enough for one day.

Digital signals are a series of pulses consisting of just two states ON and OFF. Frequency would a carrier. Therez moar than one way to skin that cat.;) Plus a lot of the math is above my pay grade. Start here:

I'm sure you think lots of things, that doesn't make it true or a fact.
The nut hugging bit is an inside joke here at BellGab.
But you would know that if your delicate sensibilities read moar BellGab.
