Hoagland is the worst. I think Art was getting fed up with him at the end.

I really liked Hoagland at first. It was different in a 'holy shit they're storing sentient robots under that pyramid in Cydonia' kinda way (or did Dames say that?). Regardless, RCH had that fractured logic that only a crazy uncle can summon.

Probably around the time that Art got fed up with him, Hoagland's shtick was wearing thin with me, too. Remember when RCH was pointing out all of these 'features' in new photos being beamed back from Mars and Art said it looked like something in his kitty litter box? Priceless.

By the time Dick was a regular with Dave it was just getting dumb. Everything was hyper dimensional, tetrahedral and 19.5. Hemorrhoids, gouda cheese, didn't matter. Hyperdimensional. Lame, and Dave just let him keep beating that 19.5 horse.

One thing I give props to RCH for is he's rarely pimping something. The guy's just looking to hear himself talk.

It's hard to say.  He has a number of payment options on his website for anyone who wants to support his quest for knowledge or disclosure or whatever.

I could never see the things that RCH saw in his photos.

Art bought into it in the beginning but became more skeptical as time went on culminating in the cat box reference.

Well he doesn't have to sell anything when hes allowed to ask the listeners for cold, hard cash.

Hoagland is a mooch. I swear to god he would take the lunch of a first grader.

True, but I think I meant pimping in the Sean David Morton context... guys like Morton or Joshua P seemed to always promote some newsletter or lameass direct-to-DVD thing they were releasing. I recall one period of time where Dick was asking for $ for Enterprise Mission, otherwise he doesn't seem to be begging for cash with outstretched hands like some folks.

Maybe I don't 'hear' RCH asking for money because there's a small part of me that likes the guy despite being over his schtick years ago.

Maybe he does and I'm way off base... I used to listen to the guy all the time with Art. After his first half-dozen times with Dave I quit tuning in.

EDIT -- and now that I think about it, I can say with certainty I probably have never listened to a full RCH show under the Dave regime except for maybe the first or second appearance, which is probably going on 10 years now. Can't tell you how many times I'd tune, hear tetrahedral, then shut off the radio. So if I only catch the first 3 minutes of the show, I'm probably missing the munny grubbing.

Same here.  Isn't he always talking about why 'they' have no choice but to finally spill the beans so disclosure is right around the corner, and about his secret contacts within NASA telling him this and that which never turn out to be accurate?

At some point just having him on is an insult to our intelligence.

I think  it was his last appearance on coast. Or the one before that. He had asked the listeners at least three times for money. There was something about European pyramids he wanted to sit in front of while checking the time on his watch. Essentially a paid vacation. This had happened before. He had begged on facebook for enough money to go Egypt. instead of going along with his plans, he changed his mind and kept the money without refunding it. He took a vacation down in Corral Castle with the dough. Hes a rat.

Dave Noorie's science adviser?

He needs a speech therapist, not a "schiunsh uhdvisor"

thats expected since Keith Rowland is also Hoagland's Enterprise Mission webmaster, so he is the link between Art and Richard.

I have to say....Keith Rowland is a lousy web designer.  Flat, unimaginative 'designs';  I can't see where he has advanced past Mosaic.  I am very disappointed in ArtBell.com

The Hoaxster needs to move on.  Dave Noorie's attic, an asylum, or one of those structures he sees on the Moon and Mars.

I think it's ok, at least it's not one of those god awful 100% Flash sites with the annoying "Loading..." thing spinning forever.
Anyone who makes all-flash sites should be shot into space, one-way.

Remember, two of the most successful websites ever are Drudgereport and Craigslist, mostly text and no fluff.  It just works..

I'd rush to Keith's defense and say maybe he's not given much budget to work with.  But that he runs RCH's site is just shameful. He's basically complicit in RCH's scheme to fleece listeners. He would have walked away from that if he had any character.

Wow, that's Major League douchebaggery... not Sean David Morton All Star-quality, but still douchebag with a capital D.

Richard's problem sounds like he doesn't have new product to hawk, i.e., too lazy to churn out another book, and wants listeners to subsidize his 'research' in vacation spots.

There was only one guy that consistently asked for money that was ok in my book. And the guy was up front about it. Peter Davenport. I know some don't like him, but quite a few of the interviews/calls he received that Art played were fantastic... flat-out nuts-and-bolts reports with details.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.  I tried to download some of the torrents that were posted on other threads here but didnt have 2 days to download them, lol.  I downloaded a few shows off youtube with the site MV posted on another thread.  Again, thanks!

That's like saying any webmaster for any website is to blame for anything bad about the people who own the site. That's just ludicrous.

Also the new ArtBell.com is so wonderfully streamlined its beautiful. It is a joy to use on a tablet and a desktop and that's a rare thing in web design. Besides. It's just starting out again, and the show hasn't even started. It's going to go through different versions.

It's not bad at all.  It even sort of scales for mobile, albeit, super skinny text columns.  The other good thing about KR is he's fan-friendly, and on the ball, updates often and often right with the show, when it's airing.  Good man.

yeah, Keith has posted he is doing the work on artbell.com as a hobby, he isn't paid by sirius or Art...
the only income is apparently from if visitors to the website click on some of the ads and he gets a small percentage if you go thru his link on the site for signing up for the internet only package of sirius.

Here are details from the "About Us" page on the artbell.com website:
QuoteArtBell.com is the official website for the SiriusXM radio program, “Art Bell’s Dark Matter.” It’s built to be more efficient than flashy. I try not to clutter it with too much, and make it easy to find things. The site is also designed to display properly on mobile devices. The menus will be simple drop downs, and I’ll try to make all the buttons and links suitable for our fingers!

The site runs on Amazon Web Services, using EC2 for the server and database, and S3 for images. We’re running WordPress, which is a far better system than the old days of hand coding HTML. If the site needs more servers, it’s pretty easy to ramp up more. I’m also working on my AWS certification, so this will be my on-the-job training.

I do this for fun, but must make enough money through banner advertising and affiliate programs to pay the Amazon AWS bill and cover my time. Please support the ongoing operation of the website by visiting our sponsors and buying some stuff if it suits you. The advertising will get better as I shift from generic affiliate programs to real sponsors of Art Bell. I will try to feature products that are of interest to Art Bell listeners.

I will try to stay available and answer your questions when I can, but don’t be insulted if I cannot answer, it gets very busy running a website for a national host, alone. I’m going to enjoy running it, posting to it and engaging the intrigue of Dark Matter, hope you will too.

Thanks
Your humble webmaster, Keith Rowland  @KeithRowland

For all who are asking whether Art should go head to head with Grecian Formula George, I will put this in the simplest of terms.

George = UFO Phil
Art       = Midnight in the Desert.

Go head to head with George???
Art would not take on an un-armed man.

Ricochet (Rick O'Shea) ... the Aquagoat

Less is definitely more when it comes to designing a page. I enjoy Art's site. It's quick and to the point. Unless you are designing a site to show your talent as a designer, there really is no point in having unnecessary bells and whistles. Hoagland's site could use some work though, but I assume it's that way for a reason. Hoagland probably likes the endless scrolling and 90's html.

Is that a disney pixar character?

Is this George Knapp?

It's either old Knappy or a shape shifting reptilian  :o
