While most remember Art for paranormal topics, he was no one-trick pony. He exuded a genuine curiosity for just about any topic under the sun, and was uniquely adept at interviewing widely disparate guests from Michio Kaku, to Harlot the witch. From George Carlin, to some random anonymous guy in a phone booth.

Not long ago I heard a replay of Artís interview with Eric Burdon. Art was clearly tickled to be interviewing a favorite artist of his. Though I haven't seen this one on the bumper music playlists, Iím pretty sure I remember Art playing it.

Yes John Lear is still alive, a few months ago he appeared and was asking for help with money on a gofundme so he could replace an old house air conditioner.

Your avatar picture looks kinda like Jim Marrs, a past Art Bell guest who passed away last year too.
It does in a weird way (hat choice.)

I actually enjoyed her interviews, though sometimes they would seem to go on and on.

That's always been my biggest beef with LMH, she talks and talks and talks. A good interviewee knows to keep their answers brief and to let the host steer the direction of the conversation.

Yes I felt this way too a long time ago when she would be a regular on C2C with Art.   I still think she's great, despite that.

Ha. I think Art had LMH, Richard, and Whitley on when he needed a break. I imagine him surfing the web, going out for a smoke, chatting on the phone, etc. as they talked, and talked, and talked...

LMW was more like a corespondent for Coast to Coast delivering her report than a guest. That being said, I always had a hard time listening to her Ďreportsí. She used to be on Dreamland like every week.

Maybe a GabCast tonight.  If you'd be interested in co-hosting, let me know in the GC thread.  Doesn't matter if you've hosted before.

As a straight man, I feel that Art's face was better suited for a mustache.

I'm sure Airyn had something to do with it...  Maybe Asia... Damn womens.

Lear is still around and forever down the rabbit hole.
As he has aged though he has lost patience for things and people that don't fit within his paradigm.

I wonder who would have thought John Lear would have been alive longer than Art?
Lear was said to be addicted to opioids from medical issues he had. He seems to be functioning a bit better lately.

John Lear had a terrible struggle with the doctors pulling his pain medication and accusing him of being a meth user.  He said it was a conspiracy to get rid of him as a patient.  He went into cold turkey withdrawal and then after that was dysfunctional for months due to the pain he took the meds for.  He nearly took his own life as a result.  Finally Bob Lazar clued him in to Kratom.  John ordered some and has been doing better and better since he started taking that, as it goes.

Michio Kaku doesn't made ANY reference to Art Bell on his website since 2010... I'm sure he's mourning but is waiting for Heather's big announcement.  http://mkaku.org/home/?s=art+bell&x=0&y=0
