I agree but the working of the board and dumping is that Tommie's or Norry's job because there are semi-frequent times where "bad language" gets out and Norry brags about "you won't be able to hear that, that's why we have dump buttons" but I hear them? The n-word got out yesterday. I was listening on replays so not sure if it went out live (not where the "people" get a copy on the shows for torrents or youtubes but I would be surprised if the official copy contained it for the "insiders.") If a guest starts going crazy then they need to be on their toes more. And not just rely on host who is busy talking/listening. And in some cases, like Connie, maybe stoned (really Preston talking about glowing orb masturbation?) How that that be ok FCC wise but not a random curse word at 1am?

The delay button does not affect the recordings that get archived on the C2C website. Only what goes out live over the air.

Barbour has been a C2C guest previously, although I think maybe with Knapp.  I do not remember him going even close to batshit crazy on air like you heard last night.  If there is no history of a previous guest losing it, how can a producer be held accountable when it happens without precedent?

Listeners didn't hear anything unusual other than a few missing words a few times.  George warned him not to use certain, unspecified words.  Guest monologued a lot, not following gentle leads very well, but lots of guests do that.  Mostly, it was words he used. George said we did not hear the words because they cut them out.

Earlier, he mentioned Frank Sinatra's recording of "Old Man River" when John Barbour talked about seeing him at the Cal-Neva casino in Lake Tahoe (partially owned by Sinatra, I believe). It's fun to picture Ol' Blue Eyes singing "He don't plant taters, he don't plant cotton."

But I guess you wondered what I meant by my post. Years ago I read that Frank Sinatra was a native of Hoboken, N.J. (where that awful train crash happened), and it struck me as amusing that a skinny kid from Hoboken would be singing about "taters" and cotton.
