Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

I haven't posted here in a while. But the other day I decided to fall sleep with the radio on. I thought to myself, "I guess I'll tune in to some C2C". So some lady calls in to tell Noory about her suspected abduction experience. What does Noory say? "You need professional help". Why hasn't this guy been fired? Not just that. It seems he is moving from the ufo thing. The other nights show was on managing finances. Wtf? If I tune in to c2c it's for ghost, big foot, aliens, time travel, etc. Where is Art Bell? We need a new c2c show.

He has multiple personalities!

First he says, "I don't, ahem, go to bars!"..... Then it's an "ocassional sherry"..... Then it's a "nightly vodka"!

First he's Catholic, then he believes in God but is agnostic about Christianity.

First he tolerates all views. Then he censors criticism of Obama! (I would too!)

First he's "Still The One" and "More Than A Feeling" then he's "Free Falling" and "Maryanne's Walking Away"!

The only consistent thing is his attendance for a pay check!  And his Second Amendment.

His restaurant failed, he had to sell his race horses, and presumably he must have paid alimony to possibly two women.  I'm sure the mother of his children filed for child support, which goes on a long time, and likely forced him to put the children through college.  Legal fees for two divorces.  Then his dad passed away, an adult child faced hardships, and another adult child lost her home in a flood.  And his sister's cancer treatments might have had high co-pays.

He does seem to focus on production goals, but he said he doesn't have a plane, and he seldom travels, takes limited vacations, doesn't wear much jewelry, doesn't buy suits excessively, and envies his dad for not mounting debt.  Even though he's got income from the Coast to Coast AM, ParanormalDate.com, Beyond Belief, Conspiracydate.com, writing books, Ancient Aliens, occassional flicks, extracurricular radio, interviews, and events. And he is the first to volunteer for conference work.  And he's a team player for office charities.  In any case he is doing a boat load of work and not appearing to spend it on himself.

As Coast's songs claimed tonight:. "This ain't no party!  This ain't no disco!  This ain't no foolin' around!"

I too was surprised when he told the abductee to see a shrink about purported incest, but he deflects callers who talk about sex (although he has been an interviewer on Playboy Radio).  So free speech does not include anti-Obama comments, hating animals, or speaking frankly about sex on Coast.

Nonetheless he is usually nice.

Tickets: $106

Come on, IO, you know that type of questionable video requires a minimum PG or equivalent rating. We can't be scaring small children and the beloved family pets.

Is this what an overdose of turmeric will do to you, give you the creepy pointy finger and truly strange arm movement syndrome? Jeez. I hope there's a homeopathic cure that can counteract the effects of too much of a good thing to help the poor guy. Practice moderation with your 'Big T' addiction, Georgie, that's the key.

Now he went and did it. Alex Jones is going to be p-i-s-s-e-d. Georgie has called Alex a "modern day Paul Revere." But in the video IO linked, Georgie names Willy Foreskin as the legendary hero?  We are men of honor who live by a code of conduct, are we not?  ???  It won't be long until Georgie will start naming everyone who appears on the program a "modern day Paul Revere of our century," and the actual Paul Revere will turn in his grave in disgust. I would not blame him.

$106 for one ticket? Seriously? It's not exactly robbery but it comes close. There are rock stars who don't charge as much for a ticket to their show. They want their fans to be able to afford a ticket that usually involves travel expenses, too. But then there are other entertainers who only wish to squeeze every penny out of their fans while they can; the same fans who are struggling day to day in difficult economic times that certain radio host's remind us of nearly every night of the week. It's too bad and so sad, because those down on their luck fans probably would have appreciated attending a festive night of song and dance, had they been able to afford a reasonably priced ticket. :'(

Go on, Georgie and Tommy the Butler, take the money and run.

Let's see.  I've seen ZZTop, Santana, Buddy Guy, Tom Petty, to name a few, over the past several years and haven't paid anywhere close to what Jorch is charging.  It's no wonder his "homecoming" in St. Louis was sparsely attended.  Of course, even at a lower price, he might not have much of an increase in attendance due to his innate suckage.   Jorch, you are no Buddy Guy.

ziznak

wait... how much is it to see jorch live?  Can you really say that Jorch Noory performs "live?"  Shouldn't it be Jorch Noory performs "dead" or "bored?"

Last night during Peter Davenport's weekly segment with George, his last report of a bright light chasing, then darting around, an aircraft reminded me of my UFO sighting from 40+ years ago.  Here is how I described the event in one of my early Bellgab posts in Aug 2013:

Well, since I'm already here, I might as well tell my UFO story....

This sighting occurred again on a summer evening, just before dark in the early 70s. I was in my early/mid teens, and we lived in rural Greene Co, between Xenia and Beavercreek, Ohio.  At the time the area was all farm land with just a smattering of old farm houses, including our home. My younger brother and I were in our back yard when I noticed a USAF C-119 transport approaching Wright-Patterson AFB (10 miles away) from the east. (I assume the aircraft was one from Lockbourne AFB near Columbus where an Air Force Reserve C-119 unit was based at the time. C-119s were very common sights in the area as a result.) The aircraft was probably at 2000-3000 ft, flying at around 150 mph.

As I watched I saw a brilliant light, quite small and very well defined, streak into view from overhead (approximately 30 degrees from the vertical from a southwestwardly direction) heading directly towards the transport. For the next 15-20 seconds, the light darted around the C-119 at very high speed, performing sharp maneuvers flying above, below and around the aircraft. The light then sped off in the same direction from which it came, although climbing at a significantly shallower angle than it arrived. Within seconds it was out of sight. Total time the light was in sight was less than 30 seconds.

During the encounter, there was no sound other than the piston engines of the transport. The C-119 did not appear to take any evasive action, meaning either the crew didn’t see the light or made a conscious decision not to evade. The C-119 continued towards WPAFB, where I assume it landed.

I specifically remember watching the local news for the next few days, and reading the local newspapers to see if the incident was reported. It was not uncommon for UFOs to be reported on TV and in the newspapers of the day, but no mention of the light I witnessed was reported by local media that I could find.

Cool story.  The way you describe it would lead me to conclude that it may have been one of our own since the C-119 didn't try to evade it.

I put Coast on this morning on one of the stations that runs 5am repeats just as guest Nicholas Schou, discussing CIA manipulation of the media, remarked that when they made the movie Animal House, they changed the ending of George Orwell's original book. From my memory of that movie, that's an understatement!

Last night's first segment (haven't gotten to the 2nd yet and may forgo it) was yet another example of George's intellectual and verbal skills. Speaking about his book on the CIA's manipulation of the Press, the guest was challenged by a caller who, obviously missing the point, cited the good work done by the Agency in Vietnam and other areas and criticizing the author's lack of first-hand knowledge. Our host, instead of simply saying something like, "Sir, Mr. Schou, isn't denying the positive things the CIA may have done over the years," he got into a long bit trying to understand the caller's intention, forcing the guest to turn apologetic.

[Rant]

I walked into the kitchen to hear the guest advertiser mention gut microbes and got excited.  I had mentioned on this board that Amy should have a guest on to discuss this subject.  Could it be?  Could somebody at Pemrat have read my request and brought on a scientist?

Very quickly she followed up her mention of microbes by saying that there is no reason for anybody to be lacking good microbes when there are pills out there to help (paraphrasing.)  Yup, my heart sank.  It sounds like the rest of the program will be her pushing their product "9 for life?" and I walked out.

I'm one of those odd people who looks at various things (financial markets, politics, the gut microbiome) for a few weeks or months, forgets about them for a year and then goes back.  For the last few weeks I have been on my "microbial ecology" kick, and earlier tonight had read two published papers- the more interesting of them being "Intestinal permeability, gut-bacterial dysbiosis, and behavioral markers of alcohol-dependence severity" (Found here, if alcoholism interests you at all...) http://www.pnas.org/content/111/42/E4485.full  Basically, they argue that alcohol can cause people to have a leaky gut, that the microbes shift in their representative populations, and can cause depression, anxiety and craving for alcohol after detox in around 50% of the people studied.  Yes, their gut was (apparently) forcing their brain to crave alcohol and having an impact on their mood...

What I am saying, is that there is interesting crap out there (pun intended.)  Rather than bringing on a doctor who will LIE and tell you to just take their probiotic, George has the ability to bring on somebody who can educate people.

But I digress.  I forget myself and the fact that it is now the late night infomercial "coast to coast" with your brain dead host (and reader of 3X5's) Dave Noorie.

I heard Noory announce that Falkie  (The guy from Pittsburgh....whatever) will be on Friday to do a segment on why people are "so whacked out."  I could only shake my head and wonder why.  Not why people are whacked out...just more of an existential "why?"

Ha!  A Falkie Friday.  What could be worse?  Oh, yeah.  A UFO Phil Friday Finale and a Super Suck Sunday Supreme, with Dave Noorie and The Submerging Artists.  Pass the turkee sammiches.

Is Falkie an expert on "whacked out"people thru personal experience?  8)

Falkie doesn't know anything about anything, but he will gladly read whatever Tommy writes for him to read. He will also sit very still while he reads Tommy's words since he was instructed to do.

I'm in, Zeeb, if I'm still awake.  I shouldn't tell a squirrel, but I've got a cache of dark chocolate pecan cinnamon bars to enjoy while Linda drones me into a stupor.  Hopefully, Jorch will be in his usual LMH stupor, as well.
