Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

Noory is doing it again, only having on guests who agree with his own beliefs on issues like global warming.
His guest tonight is of course on Noory's side, he never has one who believes in the opposite view like manmade climate change. Both him and his guest just get to team up bashing the other side, just cheerleading for him, no debate or information from the other side at all.

Well said and agreed 100%.  Noory's claim that he "wants the truth" is absolute bullshit.  It's incontrovertible. Noory doesn't give a rat's ass about finding truth. It's all about Noory; making himself look smart and fooling his listeners into believing his self-important and uneducated opinions.  That's why every time he talks about searching for the truth (He just did it a few moments ago!"I want the truth") I feel like taking an aluminum baseball bat to my radio. Noory is a classless hypocrite.

RCH: Yes, Curiosity has landed!
[FX: Loud cheers in JPL control room]
GN: We'll just take this quick break and we'll BE RIGHT BACK.

LOL! That's a perfect summary of what happened. Right at the critical moment they cut to commercial!

Only Simple George could turn a historic "seven minutes of terror" into a commercial break.

Hearing his comments about the 911 "truth" movement on streamlink mp3s is pretty outrageous as well. He makes some statement to the effect that he wants a second investigation into the WTC issue. But you know that if that turned out to be opposite his expectations it would just be another conspiracy... so what's the point? How's that "truth"?

I wish he would just come out and admit the gig is for entertainment and be done with it already. But I suppose that would upset the efoods and cancer-cure hawking folks who put ads on the show. Sad... but true

Just before the end of Monday/Tuesday's show, a caller made some comments somewhat supportive of Scientology.  sNoory supported the caller.  Is this more than sNoory's general ignorance?  Could he be a low level Scientologist?

Comment on point.  The reason Noory doesn't have anyone on is because he doesn't have the smarts to ask any intelligent or challenging questions to anyone he disagrees with on the topic -- or any other topic for that matter.  He knows it too (and so do his producers).

So he double-barrels the audience with the pathetic Mitch Battros and Dr. Roy Spencer and you've just received all you need to know.   Battros especially cracks me up with his juvenile speaking style.   Oh, wait, my bad -- Dr. James Hansen is his "good friend" (and whipping boy).   I'll bet that Battros has zero peer-reviewed published articles in any scientific journal.  He's big on the Mayans, too, by the way.  Spencer held his cards closer to the vest, but he's still in a very tiny minority with regard to his conclusions.

Hell, if George was serious about actually learning something, it'd be easy for him to get in touch with LMH and get her guest from her appearance on Coast last week (Dr. Jonathan Overpeck of the University of Arizona) to come on the program.  But he won't do it, we know that.

It occured to me last night that most C2C shows these days have two guests for two hours each.

Good for Noory, since two hours out of four are taken up with callers, relieving the pressure on Simple George to come up with questions that aren't on his index cards. Possibly intentional on Premiere's part for that reason.

Bad for us, since two hours out of four are taken up with callers, and barely one C2C caller in a hundred has anything interesting to say/ask.

Oh my Lord! You couldn't make this up, could you? This exchange just happened between Noory and his climate-change guest, Dr Roy Spencer.

Spencer: '......if you even go back in Jim Hanson's data set - you know, Jim Hanson has this surface temperature data set - and you go back and look at the 1920s and 30s, well especially the 30s in the  Arctic, it was just as warm in the Arctic back then as it is now.'
Noory: 'And we're not tokkeen about the Muppets, are we? Ha, ha ha ha.'
Silence.
Noory: 'At all'
Silence.
Noory: 'Jim Hanson? The Muppets?'
Silence.
Spencer: 'Oh! Well, that's.....OK....you're thinking of Jim Henson...'
Noory: 'Henson. Henson.'
Spencer: 'OK. I got you now....Ha ha ha.'
Noory: 'A joke that nobody got......'

You know, as much as we lampoon Noory and expose his idiocy and incompetence, nobody does it like the man himself.

Yes, it's doubled the odds of crankery and quackery as well. And since they have 25 Cassandras for every 1 Pollyanna, lots more gloom and doom. Noory still uses the same yellowing 3x5 index card, though.

Noory's callers are the least entertaining and interesting assortment of kooks. Rambling, uninformed and lacking any insight. Par for the course, I guess.

Snoory is beyond bad enough, then throw in his zombie callers and it completes the nightmare.  The few interesting, intelligent callers no doubt get filtered out for fear of embarrassing simple George.  Friday nights are beyond horror.  Snoory, nitwit callers, then Snoory with his invariable caller cut-off, followed by his condescending, blow-hard pontifications.  The UFO Phil finale is the rotten cherry on top of the sundae of garbage. :P

Two days before the show with Seth Farber (Scientology's main warrior against psychiatry) I emailed George and Tom:
" Why is CoastToCoast hiding the fact Seth Farber is a leader of Scientology?      http://www.whatisscientology.org/html/Part11/Chp34/pg0611-a.html. Having him on is defensible. Failing to inform potential listeners that he is a leader of one of the world's most nefarious and secretive criminal conspiracies is not. Bad show, in more ways than one.""

The afternoon before the show I got back a barely intelligible response from George, which I quote exactly, including idiosyncratic punctuation:
"The show hasn't even been on yet?"

I think this was supposed to mean that no one could really know what he was going to say since he hadn't said it yet. Which I guess is the same reason why so many Jewish organizations asked Adolph Hitler to speak to them in August of 1939.

Needless to say his facetious non-answer and moral cowardice infuriated me. Oh, and tell me - did Farber actually repudiate his many prior statements in support of Scientology's attempts to de-legitimize psychiatry? Or did he, like any rational adult of average intelligence knew he would, use the C2C show to spread Scientology's deadly gospel of psychiatry and psychoactive meds as useless or harmful? Or maybe George really had his stuff together and asked Farber the tough questions.

But then we know the answer, don't we?

More like a perfunctory dodge, punctuated as a question to avoid sounding like such.

Any C2C guest who, in their bio, puts "visionary" gets automatically moved to the crank bin.

Whenever  I see 'visionary' or 'intuitive' as a Noory guest qualification, my internal autocorrect immediately substitutes 'bullshit artist'. I haven't been wrong yet.

The problem with Noory, well one of the problems with Noory, is his vision of himself as a sort of Prometheus of the airwaves, bringing the *truth* to the great horde of unwashed masses. That's us. But, his idea of truth is never quantitatively and objectively derived. His guests don't publish in peer reviewed professional journals, and they certainly don't derive their results or perspectives from objective research. Noory is searching for his version of the truth, the one that fits in with his paranoia and fear, and he wears the equivalent of intellectual blinders while surrounding himself with a covered wagon assembly of sycophants who stroke him and his views for their coveted spots on his show, and the publicity it gives them. They are intellectually lazy, dishonest and, truthfully, as far as science is concerned, wannabes.

I remember, back in the day, when Art would have on someone definitely from the fringe, he took unscreened calls and some of those calls debated the guest wingnut, and Art would allow it, being interested in the answers himself. Now, all we get are callers carefully screened to make it appear that Noory has this vast audience who agrees with him and the nutjobs  he has on. It's all smoke and mirrors to cover up bullshit and make Noory look good.

Really well said.  Seth Farber was especially hard to listen to since it sounded like he was going to break out in sobs at an minute.  In fact, if you listened closely to the ends of a few of his sentences, he may very well have been in tears.  I'm not really sure though, I probably only tuned into 30 minutes total that night, and then only for the sheer silliness of the guest.  But I should have suspected scientology all along...  Behold the Psychiatry: Industry of Death Museum.  When you first move to Hollywood, it's an unusually creepy stop along the sunset strip.  And then when you find out it's a scientology-run outfit, it's like "oooohhhhh.  I get it."  ::)

If I had one dying wish, it would be for sNoory to have Tom Cruise on as a guest, where he'd inevitably have an on-air melt down Oprah style, but 10x harder since it's "just some obscure radio show" and it is much later in his career.  It would be Cruise's "Mel Gibson" moment, only in front of a live audience.  And GN, being GN, would simply sit and listen, aid and abet.  Actually, I don't wish for that.  If what I just said really happened, I would no doubt become so disgusted, jarred, and infected with theitans, that I would start puking immediately.  It would be some real Maitreya shit, right there...

Jesus - what a dishonest bio. Now I understand they probably just pasted what Farber sent them, but they have a duty to at least be in shouting distance of the truth. Here they can't admit Farber is a Scientologist even after the show is dead and gone. Note that I've never said don't put the man on: but it is basic human decency to inform your listeners who the guest is. To me it is beneath contempt for George and Tom to try to escape responsibility for helping a Scientologist promote that criminal enterprise's poisonous policies. They hid Farber's identity because they knew that their audience would be outraged by them putting on a Scientologist. More importantly, they knew the audience would probably tune out if they were truthful and said Farber was a Scientology leader. So instead of facing up to what they had done like any mature and morally responsible adult, they tried (and continue to this day) to hide their lies and cowardice.

So George and Tom gladly took refuge in the example of that great moralist, P. Pilate. I can picture our boys, towering legends of courage, practicing their "brave" position in front of the mirror:"Hey, we don't make judgments here." And, "It's not for us to say...". Yadda-blow me-yadda.

I find their cowardice and dishonesty utterly repugnant. It is George's repulsive weakness and his abject terror of having his carefully constructed nice-guy mask torn away to reveal the coward and liar beneath that make me detest him. His hypocrisy is revolting.

I hadn't listened to this show in a week or two, but tuned in last night. It was a disaster, of course, but everybody has already destroyed Noory here enough so I can't really add anything. The one thing I was thinking was that they had on the typical anti-global warming guest who was blasting the most recent scientist who had changed his mind as not a true believer, as if that is even relevant, or an actual scientific position. Later they had on the callers backed by a guest (I think he was a guest) that said the recent mass shootings were false flags so that the government could take our guns away, to which Noory didn't even bat an eye.

I was thinking that if threw on the Numbers Lady it would be the perfect representation of what I would do as a fake show to illustrate what a disaster C2C has become.

Disappointed that George couldn't do the barest research on J. Edgar Hoover going into an interview on the secrets of the FBI.

He must learn how to lead an interview. He must. Or he'll never get a fair shake from anyone.
